'As you have passed the second bottleneck, there is no doubt that the previous privileges that have been given to you are now considered lacking.'
'With that, the Gates of Awakening now allows you to not only venture the first floor of the True Blacksmith Archive, but the second floor as well.'
Hearing the voice speak once more after a brief respite, Valyr faintly nodded in response as he continued listening.
'Not only that, but as someone whose abilities stand firmly at the upper echelon of the Gates of Awakening, you have also been deemed eligible to inherit a few memories from a legendary being.'
'Though, with the Gates of Enlightenment having already given you access to part of the First Forger's memories in the past, it would only be right if the memories you gain access to are from the First Forger as well.'
"Huh." Raising his eyebrow in slight surprise, Valyr found it interesting that the monotonous voice would talk about the rewards that way.
Even though the system had already stipulated the rewards he'd obtain from the quest, the voice made it feel as if the decision was only made after obtaining information from the Gates of Enlightenment.
Whether it was for the sake of reality or for the sake of continuity, Valyr did not really know, nor did he care too much.
After all, what came next were the additional rewards.
'Similar to what you've shown during the first three trials, you have shown the Gates of Awakening an exemplary performance, showcasing your talent and skill to its limits in clearing the second set of trials,' said the voice.
'With that, the Gates of Awakening feel that it is only right for you to obtain additional rewards once more.'
'Of course, this is done not with the intentions of you reaching your full potential earlier. But instead, it is done with the intentions of expanding your potential even further.'
Hearing the voice's words, Valyr scratched the back of his head in slight confusion.
From what he could understand, the voice had basically told him two things that meant a similar thing to him, which had something to do with the increase of strength.
Then again, just like before, he decided to push the matter to the side for now as the voice began to list down what seemed to be his remaining rewards.
'After careful deliberation, the Gates of Awakening have decided to give you two additional rewards in total due to the performance you've shown,' the voice said.
'The first reward shall allow you to make greater use of the potential you've already awakened, realizing it into a greater form.'
'Of course, that does not change the fact that most of the potential within you still remains slumbering.'
'However, with this reward, that might change very soon.'
Whoosh!
At the very instant the voice was finished explaining the first reward, a cloud of golden energy appeared before Valyr out of nowhere.
Just as he was trying to decipher what the voice meant by its words, a great portion of the golden cloud made its way towards Valyr's body, leaving him frozen in place.
Swoosh!
Fortunately, such a sensation did not last for long, with Valyr feeling like he had gained more strength out of nowhere.
Ding!
Hearing the notification sound resound in his mind, the young man stared at the remaining golden cloud for a bit before opening up his notifications.
Thankfully, it was there where his questions about the voice's words were answered, prompting him to let out a faint sigh.
'And here I thought I'd get some sort of stat boosting skill or something.'
'Turns out it was something else entirely.'
[You have obtained a massive amount of otherworldly energy, awakening not only facets of your slumbering potential, but also the potential you've already awakened.]
[You have gained 5 points of Might.]
[You have gained 5 points of Tranquility.]
[You have gained 5 points of Vigor.]
[You have gained 5 points of Mana Purity.]
Reading through the notifications he had received, Valyr felt pleasant surprise after seeing his hidden stats obtain a boost from the Gates of Awakening.
However, with how the Gates of Awakening had bestowed him with Might and Tranquility, he thought that only those two would undergo an increase from the reward.
Yet, against all odds, all of his hidden stats were affected, allowing Vigor and Mana Purity to reach double digits.
'Well, the reward isn't all that bad,' thought Valyr to himself, faintly shrugging his shoulders as he moved the screen to the side.
For now, the young man knew that the hidden stats would only aid him in the form of a passive stat boost.
But with how the Gates of Awakening had given him a considerable boost to all his hidden stats, he knew that it wouldn't be long till he started unlocking the perks that came along with having them in great numbers.
Such as the one under Might.
'As for your second reward…' Just as he was thinking about other possible ways to gain more points for Might in a short amount of time, Valyr's train of thought was broken by the monotonous voice.
Listening intently to what it had to say, the young man expected the second reward to be better than what he had just got.
After all, he had cleared the second bottleneck.
Though, for some apparent reason…
What he got instead was the exact opposite.
'The element of luck is considered to be an intangible element that does not have merit in the real world.'
'However, to those seeking to reach the top, luck is considered to be one of the most important elements as it affects a myriad of things revolving around one's progression.'
'Fortuitous encounters, sudden treasures, and similar items may only appear to those that are fated, but it also appears to those that have high amounts of luck.'
'With that, the Gates of Awakening shall bestow you a pill that does just that, imbuing you with greater luck that shall aid you in your future encounters.'
Whoosh!
At those words, the remaining parts of the golden cloud coalesced before Valyr, gradually transforming into something that reminded the young man of something he had obtained in the Gates of Enlightenment.
Thinking about it, a wry smile crept up Valyr's face.
'If this is just the same pill I got from looting the courtyard, then that would be incredibly ironic,' thought the young man as he activated [Superior Analysis] on the golden pill.
Ding!
Reading through the item's description, Valyr let out a sigh of relief after seeing that the pill the Gates of Awakening gave him was not the Pill of Fortuitous Encounters.
Instead, the pill given to him by the Gates of Awakening…
…Was the Pill of Great Fortuitous Encounters.
