With the problem of moving the primitive humanoids that were near the quadrant leader away now solved, Valyr thought that now was the best time to make a move and fight against one of them.
Looking through the temporary campsite to see if he had forgotten to bring anything for the fight, the young man thought about the three other quadrant leaders that remained within the city ruins.
'With the north quadrant leader becoming that strong even though it was the weakest due to its Intent, it only makes sense for the other quadrant leaders to be more terrifying than that one,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself.
After all, the north quadrant leader only had control over the Intent of Balance at the beginning, which was considered to be at the pinnacle among 9th Grade Intents.
In comparison, the Intents the other quadrant leaders wielded were considered to be 7th Grade Intents at the very least.
If that was the case, then didn't that mean he would have to face the wrath of three empowered quadrant leaders that could control 6th Grade Intents?
Perhaps even 5th Grade Intents?
At the thought, Valyr slightly shuddered in fear.
Nevertheless, the young man remained steadfast, reminding himself that the reason he wanted to fight the other quadrant leaders solo was to obtain the other parts making up the memory he had obtained from the north quadrant leader.
Comparing a fight against a being with high grade Intent to the opportunity of obtaining answers regarding questions about the inheritance…
He would undoubtedly do the former thrice just to obtain the latter.
Sure, a 30% boost to one's Attack coefficient compared to a 9th Grade Intent was undoubtedly scary…
But such power would prove ineffective as long as the attack didn't hit.
With those thoughts in mind, Valyr checked the campsite one last time before deciding to set off to the east quadrant, utilizing [Traceless Slither] to speed up the journey.
Though he would definitely be able to fight against the west and south quadrant leader with only a bit more difficulty, the east quadrant leader was undoubtedly the perfect opponent when he took his skill set into consideration.
After all, the east quadrant leader fell under the archetype of having superb magical defense while remaining vulnerable to physical attacks.
Of course, Valyr's skill set allowed him to switch between a magic-oriented and a physical-oriented combat style with great fluidity.
However, even though his spear had made effectively utilizing the latter quite difficult…
He still prided himself on the fact that he could deal tons of damage with the spear if he set his mind to it.
Whoosh!
Transforming into a blur of Shadow Energy, Valyr moved through the periphery of the city ruins at great speeds, avoiding all of the primitive humanoids he came across along the way.
While heading to where the east quadrant leader was, a thought soon popped up in the young man's mind.
'Now that I think about it, it's been a while since the others entered the Gates of Awakening.'
Taking into consideration the brief forging session he did, as well as the brainstorming session that gave him confidence to fight the quadrant leaders, roughly less than 30 minutes had passed since the four's disappearance.
"Have they come across trouble after entering the trial grounds?" asked the young man to himself, only to shake his head at the thought.
"Considering how the trials at the Gates of Enlightenment went, that's highly unlikely."
"Nevertheless, it's still odd that no one sent anything about the trials in the party chat yet."
Deciding to push his slight concerns regarding the four aside for the meantime, Valyr thought about how the fight between him and the east quadrant leader would unfold.
'Taking my experience in fighting the north quadrant leader into consideration, the fight against the east quadrant leader would probably be made up of three phases as well.'
At the thought, a bitter smile appeared on his face. 'In any case, it's incredibly obvious that I should save my ultimate skills for the leader's second and third phase.'
'After all, the only reason why I was able to use my ultimate skills against the quadrant leader again was because Hal and the others had greatly stalled for time.'
'And that's even after taking the time dilation into consideration.'
"Hmm…" Passing through the boundary that separated the south quadrant from the east quadrant, Valyr went through his fight against the north quadrant leader in his mind once more.
Skipping over the blunder that happened during the beginning of the quadrant leader's second phase, the young man eventually stopped looking through the memory after remembering what had transpired during the third and final phase.
'The arquebus, huh…'
Recalling the amount of damage he was able to deal with just one shot, Valyr knew that even though he had enhanced his stats to the highest degree possible, the quick end to the third phase was still due to a great stroke of luck.
'Even if I were to find some way to use it during the third phase, it would probably only reduce the quadrant leader's health by half at most,' thought Valyr to himself, thinking that the help the arquebus would bring was marginal at best.
Fortunately, a sudden thought struck his mind at that moment.
With his eyes briefly widening at the thought, he muttered, "Although it won't make much of a difference during the second and third phase due to how insanely strong the quadrant leader becomes…"
"What if I were to use it to swiftly end the first phase?"
As the thought continued to linger in his mind, Valyr became more and more confident that this approach to fighting the quadrant leader would undoubtedly be effective.
If one shot was all it took to move the quadrant leader to the last two phases, then he could let hell loose and use all of his strongest moves at the quadrant leader's strongest state.
Then again, the young man was still uncertain as to whether a single shot from the arquebus was enough to move the fight onto the second phase.
After all, he could not guarantee a Fatal Hit.
Of course, that didn't mean he had no other ways to make up for the lost damage.
