[The First Forger] (Limited Quest)

Difficulty: B

Many figures have made their mark on the history of humanity, bringing about great changes to how the human race lived. Some of them have brought the human race to prosperity, while some of them have brought the human race to ruin. Nevertheless, all these experiences allowed the human race to become what it is today…

Though one figure among them could be said to have been the reason why the human race had reached its current spot in the first place.

The First Forger is known by scholars as the first human being in history to have forged a piece of equipment in between the Age of Darkness and Age of Uprising. Because of his timely discovery, the human race was able to make greater use of the system, allowing them to carve out a piece of land where they were finally free.

Through some mysterious means, the Gates of Enlightenment has the ability to allow you to relive a portion of the First Forger's memories, as well as gain more insight on the Gates of Enlightenment as a whole. Whether or not this experience shall allow you to obtain a path of greater power, these things would surely help you out in your journey to exploring the entirety of the inheritance.

However, you must first earn the right to obtain these rewards in the first place.

Remaining silent as he closed the screen before him, Valyr closed his eyes as he allowed the thoughts he had about the trial so far to linger in his mind. Not long after, he began to think about the information he had just obtained from the quest he received, slowly putting two and two together as a larger picture began to form in his mind.

'If I'm getting this correctly, the Gates of Enlightenment are emphasizing strength and willpower in their trial since they want to find someone suitable to inherit the ability of a legendary being,' thought Valyr to himself, allowing the gears in his mind to keep turning. 'In my case, the Gates of Enlightenment has deemed me eligible to inherit the path of the First Forger. Whether it's due to the fact that I have a Blacksmith class, I used a token attuned to the Blacksmith class to enter, or both, I don't know.'

"However, it probably wouldn't be far-fetched to think that the others would have similar opportunities as well." With the gears in his mind continuing to turn as he tried to make better sense of the situation, the young man began to think out loud all of a sudden.

"Maybe the knowledge repository I got access to was just the lowest reward one could get from completing the trials the Gates of Enlightenment threw at them, though it'll probably get better since the quest I got did mention something about a trial assessment."

"Then again, is the Imperial Production Guild aiming for us to obtain information from the knowledge repositories, or from the special opportunity that we had been given to inherit a path from the one that came before us?" Scratching the back of his head, Valyr pondered over it for a bit, only to head towards a dead end as he did not know what kind of information the Imperial Production Guild wanted exactly.

'Unless they want every piece of information from us they could get.' Shrugging his shoulders, he decided to end his train of thought there. Coincidentally, as if it was waiting for him to process all of the information he had just received, the disembodied voice resounded throughout the area once again.

'Would you like to attempt inheriting the path of the being that was called the First Forger and continue with the trial?' asked the voice to Valyr. 'Or would you like to end the trial here and access the Gates of Enlightenment's knowledge? This would be your very final chance to end the trial early.'

"I would like to continue with the trial." Valyr nodded without hesitation, the description of the quest he had read earlier continuing to linger in his mind. "Though, I would like to ask for more information on what kind of foes I'll be facing for this next part of the trial."

'The aim of the last part of the Trial of Myriad Aberrations is for you to reach a total of 10,000 kills,' replied the voice, correcting Valyr's thoughts that there would be more parts after the one he would be partaking in. 'As that would constitute the completion of the Trial of Myriad Aberrations, the amount of power you'd get in advance is far greater than the power you've gained access to from the three opportunities combined.'

'Naturally, you would be more than eligible to attempt inheriting the path of the First Forger at that point,' the voice continued. 'As for the foes that you would have to face for this final portion, the first nine groups shall be made up of 400 aberrations with strengths reaching divinity amongst the elite, while their levels reached the peak of the fourth rank.'

'However, the final group of 400 shall be made up of aberrations that have broken through the bottleneck of levels and made headway into the fifth rank of power. Aside from that, their strengths is more or less the same, being deemed at a level of divinity amongst the elite.'

"I see." Nodding in response, Valyr watched as the field of corpses begin to glow gold once more after the voice was finished answering his question, feeling a sense of tranquility as he thought that he was nearing the end of the trial. Watching as the aberrations slowly rose up from the ground as they increased in number, the young man took out his spear from his back before activating the Intent Seed of Shadow Energy, firmly gripping onto his spear in the process.

Though he had already gotten used to fighting against the aberrations at this point, he was still going to give it his all no matter what. After all, with the plethora of rewards he would be gaining from completing the Trial of Myriad Aberrations…

He couldn't afford to fuck it all up.
