( Hazriel's POV )

" Brother you're making a mistake. Even without the Supreme Lord, Max Rajput is not someone you can underestimate.

He just killed Dracula and entered into a quadra-alliance, pushing his buttons does not seem like a wise choice to me" Hazriel pleaded as Micheal refused to listen to her words of reason.

" Master Odin has confirmed it… Rudra Rajput has left the universe and that means that this is our opportunity to re-establish ourselves as the most dominant force in the universe.

We are angels, we are the supreme race.

Not even the dragon's dare to fight us because our bare skin is tougher than their scales.

I could accept Rudra Rajput ruling the universe since he's a cosmic angel, however, I'll be damned if I let a vampire sit on that throne.

I don't care if he's strong enough to kill Dracula, the four of us Archangels together can take down any opponent that we choose to take down, and Max Rajput is only tier7.

I know that kid is your pet project and I know you've nurtured him to where he is Hazriel, which is why I'll let him concede control of the queen and marry you since it's what you desire the most.

But the price of marrying you will come in the form of the position of the supreme lord, which will be occupied by me" Micheal said as he made his opinion on the matter crystal clear much to the dismay of Hazriel.

Sometimes Hazriel could not understand the intentions of her master Odin. She could not wrap her head around why he did what he did, however, this ploy here looked like it was a big set-up.

The four arch angels together were not strong enough to take down the queen, so even if Micheal did confront Max and push him into a corner, if he was indeed the Supreme Lord, he could just call upon the queen and end the fight, however, Micheal believed that just because Hazriel loved Max and wanted to marry him, Max would not use the force of the queen to suppress them.

Initially when Hazriel asked for Michael's permission to marry Max, the brother sister duo had a terrible fight after which the two of them did not talk to each other for days.

Finally, the one who brokered the peace between the two siblings was Odin who brought news that Rudra had ascended and left the queen's control to Max and that now was the right time to strike for Micheal if he wanted to take back the throne.

Odin convinced Micheal that Max was head over heels in love with Hazriel and if Micheal challenged him to a fair duel with Hazriel's hand in marriage being on the line but the stipulation being that he could not use the queen, Max would agree to that duel provided it made Hazriel happy and Micheal saw this weakness as the perfect opportunity to usurp the title of the supreme lord from Max.

The whole ' I cannot tolerate a vampire sitting atop the throne of the supreme lord' reasoning was nothing but flowery nonsense and Hazriel knew that very well.

Micheal did not appreciate Rudra as the cosmic lord, but was rather suppressed into submission.

If he did not have to, he would not have bowed before Rudra either and Hazriel knew that even when he did, he hated every last second of it.

Micheal was a man who had been at the pinnacle of the food chain for so long that he had become a dead tree with no flexibility to bend.

From this point forward, Micheal could either be trimmed to size or chopped off completely, but his nature could not be changed, neither could his ambitions.

The tides of fortune had changed and their master Odin no longer favoured the angels to rule the universe but rather prefered the Rajput's instead.

Hazriel did not wish harm on either side, but her brother's decision made her feel worthless as despite her warnings he was hell bent on cornering a tiger like Max.

At the next upcoming meeting of the monarchs, Micheal was going to get a big reality check and unfortunately for Sariel and Raphael, he was going to drag them down with him.

( Meanwhile Odin )

Odin watched happily as he convinced Micheal to challenge Max for the title of the supreme lord, with Hazriel's hand in marriage on the line.

He already knew how strong Max was and that by accepting this fight he was going to be able to establish his dominance as the next Supreme Lord for once and for all.

The only reason he set his disciples up and served them upto Max was because he wanted to send a message to the rest of the monarchs that Max was even stronger than Rudra.

Words were not enough to express such a statement which is why an exhibition was needed.

The cherry on top was that by making this plot, he also secured the happiness of his only female disciple Hazriel as Micheal was a fool to not let her marry Max.

The woman, despite being almost a thousand years old, wanted the blessings of her brothers before marriage and wanted the two families to accept each other, but Micheal because of his own inferiority complex could not accept the notion of an angel marrying a vampire.

In the end, Odin felt like Micheal deserved the beating that was headed his way as only by being shrunk to size was he going to learn the lesson that race did not matter as much as talent.

And that although he once had the talent required to become a celestial and rule the universe, he wasted his potential and stagnated at measly tier8, disappointing Odin and letting hundreds of years of training go to waste.
