MMORPG: Rebirth as an Alchemistchapter 652: the beasts in grado path

As the standoff continued, the once-cordial atmosphere at the caravan shifted into a tense and potentially explosive encounter.

Ren and Evie would need to navigate this situation to avoid an unnecessary confrontation, all while making sure that they clear the quest.

Tension hung thick in the air as Ren and Evie stood at odds with the rival players, both parties coveting the valuable spot for the monstrous creature.

A standoff seemed imminent, with no one wanted to back down. It was a delicate balance, ready to tip over the edge into confrontation.

Just as the atmosphere was about to boil over, a thunderous roar, like the bellow of a wrathful god, echoed through the forest. The ground quaked beneath their feet, and leaves rustled in the wake of an approaching terror.

Ren and everyone else turned to witness the nightmarish emergence of the colossal beast known as Drakuto. It was a creature of monstrous proportions, defying nature and logic.

Drakuto stood before them, an unholy fusion of beetle and dragon, a true abomination that sent shivers down their spines.

Its chitinous exoskeleton shimmered with an iridescent, metallic sheen reminiscent of the rarest of gemstones. Each of its enormous legs was as thick as a tree trunk, ending in razor-sharp claws that could rend stone and steel alike.

Its wings, folded close to its body, bore intricate patterns that resembled runic engravings, hinting at a power that defied comprehension.

Drakuto's eyes, crimson and seething with malevolence, scanned Ren and the others with a predatory hunger that sent chills down their spines.

The players stammered in awe and fear, "Wh-what in the realms is that thing?"

"It's colossal! Can it even be killed?"

Ren and Evie exchanged a glance, their rivalry with the other players momentarily forgotten in the face of this threat.

It seemed like this wasn't the monster that they were after so it might the monster from Salister Kane's quest.

Drakuto let out another deafening roar, this time with a powerful gust of wind that sent them sprawling. The beast lunged forward, its monstrous form charging with an unstoppable force, its hatred for artificial structures evident in the way it smashed through trees and boulders without a second thought.

Denric was quick to hide his items in his inventory and got away when the Drakuto smash his caravan into pieces.

The forest trembled in its wake as Drakuto descended upon everyone, its aura of malice casting a shadow over the impending battle.

Ren and Evie braced themselves for what they believed to be the monster they sought. Their hands clutched their weapons tightly as they prepared for battle.

But then, as if the world itself conspired to shroud them in chaos, another sound pierced the air. It wasn't the earth-shaking roar they had just heard; this noise came from above, carried on the wind.

A cacophonous buzzing, akin to a maddened swarm of bees but much more sinister, filled the forest.

The adventurers' heads snapped upward, their eyes widening in sheer disbelief as they witnessed the arrival of another nightmarish entity: the Drakoptera.

This winged terror was unlike anything they had ever seen. A grotesque fusion of dragon and wasp, the Drakoptera defied nature's rules.

Its wings, membranous and ethereal, stretched wide, allowing it to hover menacingly above them. The scales that covered its body shimmered with an eerie, otherworldly iridescence.

Ren murmured, "Another beast . . . ?"

This must be the monster that the opposing side was after. With two beasts and fifty players on their back, Ren and Evie might be up for a challenge.

Evie's voice slightly trembled, "It's... it's huge."

The Drakoptera, a beast of unparalleled ferocity, combined the durability and agility of a dragon with the relentless fury of an enraged wasp.

Its insectoid body bore draconic features, a nightmarish amalgamation of claws, scales, chitin, and mandibles that sent shivers down their spines.

"The Drakoptera is here! Men get into formation!"

"What about Ren and that other monster?!"

"Make sure that they don't steal our kill. Our priority right now is to kill that thing and minimize our casualty!"

Before they went into formation however, the Drakoptera descended upon them, its buzzing wings producing an eerie drone that seemed to echo through the very marrow of their bones. Its gleaming mandibles clicked together in a dreadful rhythm, foreshadowing the inevitable confrontation.

Ren and Evie exchanged a meaningful glance, and Evie didn't hesitate to voice her question, "What's our plan? Are we going to take them all down?"

Two menacing and otherworldly creatures cast ominous shadows over them, radiating an undeniable threat.

Their once straightforward quest had taken an unexpected twist.

"Let's hold off for now," Ren replied. "Dealing with Drakoptera and Drakuto's stats and abilities is no easy task, even for a group of fifty players. We should let them weaken the monsters first before we make our move."

"Agreed," Evie nodded with the shameful plan, and together they retreated behind the cover of the trees while the players initiated their assault on the Drakoptera.

However, as the players launched their attack, the monsters retaliated with equal force. Now, the players found themselves facing two formidable beasts simultaneously.

Ren and Evie observed the unfolding battle with a sense of detachment.

While the players might have stood a chance against the Drakoptera alone, the addition of the Drakuto had significantly tipped the odds against them.

This must be their fault because the quest they held must have triggered the Drakuto to come.

However, Ren blamed it on their shitty luck. They should have left when they got the chance.

The battle raged on beneath the looming canopy of ancient trees, a furious clash of wills and strengths.

The players, emboldened by their numbers, had initially approached the Drakoptera and Drakuto with a semblance of confidence.

However, they soon found themselves entangled in a desperate struggle against the overwhelming might of these two otherworldly creatures.

The Drakoptera moved with an eerie grace that belied its colossal size. Its razor-sharp talons struck out with deadly precision, each swipe accompanied by a faint, haunting hum that sent shivers down the spines of the players.
