Not just anyone could meet the best alchemist of the empire, and without his help, it was impossible to fix the runic item, Shadow Pierce.

'Is there no other way?'

Roy lowered his eyes, tapping into his previous life's memories.

"When there's a will, there's a way. We might not know how to repair it now, but we might in the future if we don't stop looking for it." Tevenlor suddenly said to him.

Hearing his words, Roy knew what he needed to do.

"You are right." Roy breathed out, and his wife saw his eyes blazing with conviction. "I will not give up on him. I will find a way to fix it and wake him up from his slumber."

He didn't know whether he was gone for good or not, but he tried to trust his words and believe that he was still in the soul, still sleeping, waiting for him to heal his soul and wake him up.

'But how do I that? Did the author ever mention a way to fix a runic item in the book?'

Roy racked his brain, trying hard to remember the book's content, and he found a way to fix even completely destroyed items.

'According to the author, the soul shard of miracles is in the Far West Major Realm. Its name says everything about it. It can perform miracles. I will be able to repair Shadow Piercer with its help.'

Roy remembered more details about it, and his eyes glistened profoundly.

As of yet, no one except for him knew of its existence.

After all, it didn't make its appearance until the fourth volume of the book.

That means he had a lot of time to get it.

'What was the way to get it? Ah, yes, I remember.' Roy's eyes lit up and then dimmed down. 'It's in that place, too far away from here, and it's guarded by the most fearsome of creatures which only the truly strong can contend against.'

He knew where it was, and he even knew how to get it, but he didn't meet the most basic requirements to get it, which was strength. Only someone who was as or more powerful than a Lord of the West could grab it. Others would be destroyed by the sheer pressure emitting out of it. It was a divine shard, the biggest piece of the divinity of the God of Miracles!

'I will get it and heal him, even though it is going to be quite challenging.'

Roy tightened his hands into fists.

He wasn't going to give up on the Righteous Knight, no matter what, and he was all set and ready to do everything in his power to wake him up from the coma, even if it meant one day stepping into the most dangerous zone of the fourth volume of the book.

Suddenly, Sandra called out to them. "Guys!"

"What?"

"I think we're in trouble, huge trouble!"

"Hmm?"

They turned to her, and she signaled them to look at the sky.

"Look! A crack has suddenly appeared in the sky, and I can feel that something ominous is going to step out of it."

They all looked up and saw that a crack had appeared in the sky some time ago, and baleful air was gushing out of it.

Sandra's feeling was right on the mark as two white hands came out of the hole in the dark, grabbing its side and pushing it open, widening the crack in the fabric of reality.

This shocked them to no end.

"Just how powerful must a being be to grab and tear the fabric of reality like that?"

Tevenlor's mouth widened as he saw a monstrous being stepping out of it.

A massive being floated out of the crack in the sky. This monster was 25 meters tall and 13 meters wide and resembled a ball. A massive eye could be seen in the middle of his body. It was the same color as the rest of its figure, white like paint. Countless fleshy tentacles of the same color protruded out of his huge and round body, each of them having many slits.

"This can't… possibly be him, right?" Roy found the air surrounding him quite similar to Voss's, but he didn't resemble him one bit.

"No, this monster is Voss." Tevenlor was certain that this was another avatar of Voss, the most powerful one he had seen to date. "He has the same scent as him."

He was too familiar with Voss's scent as he had served him for hundreds of years, carefully spying on his every move without giving himself away and blowing up his cover.

He knew who it was with a single look.

"You jinxed us." Damien joked as he flicked Sandra's forehead, which was trembling like a drenched cat. It wasn't just her who was like that. The female siren was in no better state of mind than her.

"T-this is n-no time to be… making jokes."

Sandra and the Female Siren were horrified at the sight of Voss's third avatar.

The sheer evil pressure emitting out of him horrified them.

"I can smell them!"

Voss felt excited when he realized that they were nearby. They saw an eye appearing in the slits of his tentacles. Suddenly, it gained thousands of eyes, and every single one of them turned towards Roy and the Female Siren simultaneously.

"Found you! Oh, are you disappointed? You should be! There's no way puny insects like you can flee from me. I will corrupt your soul and force you to become my slave. I will make good use of you two to purify my bloodline and become strong enough to dominate this world. Your future is to be milked dry by me, heh, heh, heheheh!"

The Female Siren flinched under Voss's terrifying gaze, but he failed to affect Roy's mind with his cheap tricks. He pulled her behind him.

"Take her to safety."

Roy pushed her towards the other and took out his weapons to confront Voss's third avatar, but Damien held him back.
