I Hate Systemschapter 938: mining future info

"Rass is the perfect pawn of Martial."

Compass Carburettor stared at the sky, able to notice the gaze of Martial and the Waning Essence System. Had it just been Martial alone, he wouldn't have been able to notice the other party.

After all, Martial represented the Murim Worlds. So, he was intrinsically connected to them. He didn't need to view it from an external perspective.

But since he had somewhat become the Waning Essence System's Host, he couldn't observe in his usual way, for that would keep the Waning Essence System in the dark. Since it too needed to observe, he chose an external way, one that allowed Compass Carburettor to feel their gaze.

At present, he just resembled a normal human that was seated on the terrace of the restaurant. So, even when they noticed him—for he was seated on the terrace of the same building as their pawn, Rass—out in the open, they didn't even spare a glance at him.

After all, he was just a mere mortal.

This was Compass Carburettor's terrifying nature. Whatever changes he wished to do, he could perform them by manifesting a dreamscape after killing himself. And once he revived at reality, he was just a normal mortal.

Even his disguise was performed in the dreamscape, making it natural.

'Even though they stole my Anthozoa, they had indeed completed my most ambitious project.' He thought, smiling in the end, 'When I had the Money-Making System, I created the Carburettor Island to one day upgrade Anthozoa into being something that could be integrated into the human body.'

"It was why I made it capable of condensing bullets out of air and charge itself using solar energy, not to mention make bullets that would sublimate a minute after they were shot." He stared at the sky and observed the moon, "It seems that even after my disappearance, my ideology stuck on Carburettor Island. It stinks that it wasn't me that realised my dream, but at least, it was my dream that had been realised."

"Now, I'm curious about Rass." He muttered, "Since I don't have enough time to wait until everything I want to see happens, let's take things for a spin, shall we…?"

He bit his tongue, killing himself as instantly, the entire universe formed within the dreamscape, a mirror of the original. It was as if the universe itself was dreaming.

Dreamcraft!

"Hmm?" Compass Carburettor noticed the energy infused in him being consumed rapidly. Maintaining such a massive dreamscape took a toll on his concept, for at the moment, he wasn't being supported by the energy from his concept externally.

He didn't have much time on his hand as Compass Carburettor arrived before Rass and began to dissect the latter, extracting the organ to understand it further through his ability to infer data.

A couple of minutes later, he smiled while staring at the unconscious Rass, "This guy is pretty cunning indeed. All of Anthozoa's properties have been built into him."

This meant that just as Anthozoa was able to condense bullets by compressing air, Rass was able to condense the material he wished by inhaling air. And the energy to create all his weapons came from the sun.

The explanation he provided to his subordinate was all true, but was just part of the truth. There was a limit to how much fat a human body could store after all. Moreover, when one moves their body, their muscles become sore.

And the creation of the weapons followed the same principle. Rass was just supplementing it with solar energy, using the generated electricity to contract the necessary muscles. It was electricity that moved in the nervous system to control the muscles.

He could do it as naturally as breathing since the Waning Essence System imprinted it into his body.

Just like how the Dantian began to influence the human body the greater one accumulated Qi in their body and trained, this organ too influenced them similarly. Therefore, even though it didn't seem like it externally, Rass's body was pretty robust, his muscles capable of condensing air into solid objects at a rapid pace.

They had been strengthened by the organ over time as he used his power. This was why he could easily create enough items to equip over two hundred subordinates.

The perceived weakness he told his subordinates was just to fool them into targeting that weakness if they ever wished to betray him. He didn't trust a single one of them.

Moreover, he could be selective about imparting all the properties of his organ to progeny. As to what he wished to do with that, Compass Carburettor was curious.

Now that he had confirmed his doubts and gained all the data regarding this organ, he revived in reality—on the terrace. The time in the world began to tick once again.

He was now satisfied, speaking, "Since this is the fruit of my dreams, I'll name it as I see fit."

"Compass Carburettor Seed, or CC Seed for short." He smiled, "That's what this organ shall be called."

"When I head to Earth in the future, I'll install this name there." He grinned as he focused on his concept to install a connection with the main body, transmitting all the information before asking, "Lend me energy."

"How much?" Came from the other side, transmitted as a thought.

"Everything you have."

There was silence for a moment before the concept in him brimmed with power. Pretty much all the energy the main body had gathered until now flowed into him, powering him up.

Compass Carburettor cut off the connection and killed himself once again, muttering as he paused the timeline of the universe, "With the energy in me, I can maintain this dreamscape for three decades."

"That's plenty enough."

Time in dreams can get quite wonky. It needn't follow common sense there. So, before a second could pass in reality, three decades would flow in the dreamscape. And that was enough time for Compass Carburettor to find out the secret regarding Genre Manifestation, for he inferred that the clue lay in Rass.

Even Martial and the Waning Essence System were unaware of what was happening, for the level of the Dreamscape he erected was beyond them. Though everything would finish before a second ticked in reality, if any of the Grade 4 Systems were here, they would be able to intrude into the timeline of the Dreamscape too.

Thankfully, none were free at the moment, allowing him this precious opportunity. As to what he wished to do in the Dreamscape? Nothing.

Compass Carburettor only wanted to see what Rass would do in this world, being the first to unearth all the data. Basically, by simulating this universe as a dream, Compass Carburettor was mining information about the future.
