I Hate Systemschapter 922.4: training towards the peak (part 4)

Even though all Cultivation Worlds fall under the Cultivation Genre, they have an inherent difference in their power system.

Some use Spirit Energy, some use Qi, etc. And depending on the energy, the levels one gain for their strength too varies. The mode of cultivation differs, etc.

Too many differences exist despite them being under the same genre. So, when the energy from these worlds funnel into Immortal, they conflict. After all, when there exists conflict everywhere even in their world, how would these energies not conflict with foreign energies?

The energies conflict, the power system conflict, and the collective consciousness conflict too. These three conflicts create a three-dimensional field of conflict within Immortal, resulting in the majority of the power in him being contradicted by each other.

All that would be left behind are dregs, originating from worlds with the exact same power system, energy, and more or less similar setup for the collective consciousness, resulting in them somehow avoiding erasure.

It was this dreg that formed the majority of Immortal's strength, and in extension, all the Genre Representatives too.

But even here, there was a problem with the efficiency of usage. After all, even after a Collective Consciousness gained control in Immortal, it was unable to exercise its full power. After all, the majority of its attention would be focused on keeping the other Collective Consciousnesses at bay.

And it's not like all the worlds remained passive. No, things were constantly changing in every single world due to development. And whenever war happens, a large number of lifeforms are killed, new powerhouses emerge, the thoughts of people change, etc.

This causes the influence of that world within Immortal to fluctuate rapidly. And this fluctuation causes waves to form through the other powers. If the fluctuation happened in just one world, then the effect would have been insignificant.

But when the same happened all the time in a majority of the worlds, the various powers within Immortal constantly fluctuated. So even for the Collective Consciousnesses controlling his body, it would have to defend against the other Collective Consciousnesses and control the fluctuating powers.

Moreover, whenever the powers fluctuate, the hierarchy of the various powers changes, causing a temporal shift. At times, this shift would be powerful enough to make Immortal weak for a moment.

So, Immortal had to fight while constantly dealing with all the internal chaos, resulting in his usage of even the 'Dregs' being at a crippled efficiency.

This was Arnark's comment that if he had as much power as Immortal--the 'Dregs' he controlled--at that moment, he could casually end the war.

Each universe was almost infinite. Their foundations were terrifying. And all this foundation, originating from thousands of universes for minor Genre Representatives to millions of universes for the major Genre Representatives made them that much more terrifying.

So, even the mere 'Dregs' they employed with abysmal efficiency still amounted to such a terrifying power. In the hands of individual entities like Arnark, even the 'Dregs' gave him sufficient power to dominate the multiverse.

With that, Compass Carburettor arrived at an understanding of sorts, "So, that is what the Genre Representatives represent with their ultimate ability."

"In that vein," He muttered, enlightened, "The Systems unleash their Core Skill Manifestation, which is basically a manifestation of their concept that they had accumulated all this time. And in contrast,"

"The Genre Representatives manifest the chaos that forms them at a tangible state." He let out a smile in the end, "From what I know, only Grade 3 Systems and above can unleash a Core Skill Manifestation. And among the Genre Representatives, only the major ones can unleash a Genre Representation."

"So, what is the limiting factor one needs to qualify to attain this?" He muttered before iterating his observations, "Grade 1 Systems work in the mortal limit. They are geared toward a single individual. Grade 2 Systems work within the magical limit. They can create entire races. But Grade 3 Systems work on entire worlds. So,"

He frowned, "Technically, the Grade 2 Systems represent a concept too, since they represent the entire race. For example, the Demon System can practically represent the entirety of the Demon Race. So, why can't they do a Core Skill Manifestation?"

"When Apocalypse unleashed it, a world was created in which everyone was influenced to adapt to that apocalyptic setting." His confusion furthered in response, "A Grade 2 System can change one's race. But a Grade 3 System is also doing the same by influencing the world first. So, what is missing here that sets them apart?"

At this point, he concluded, "I...don't know."

"It seems I need to further my understanding regarding this." Thinking as such, he set aside the Core Skill Manifestation and focused on the Genre Manifestation of the Genre Representatives, "Why can some Genre Representatives use it while others cannot? Unlike a Grade 2 and Grade 3 System, all Genre Representatives are the same. The only difference is the number of worlds under them."

"So, does one only need to attain a quantitative difference to be able to perform a Genre Representation?" He shook his head, "I don't think that seems to be the case here. There is an intrinsic quality here that I'm missing."

"And whether or not I know that will make all the difference." Compass Carburettor thought, racking his head to come up with an answer, but failing in the end, "It seems racking my head here won't bring about a solution."

He thought as such and plucked a strand of his hair, watching it wriggle in response by absorbing a torrent of energy from the sun to become a clone of himself.

'Find out the cause.' Compass Carburettor spoke to his clone through thoughts. As it was a Secret Society member, irrespective of where it existed, they could communicate realistically through thoughts.

Thanks to his concept that was ever present in every universe, the channel for their communication would never be cut off as it could flow through their concept when necessary. Though yes, without using the concept, it would be cut off once the Secret Society member heads to another universe.

So, unless necessary, the member didn't plan to communicate, for that would mean tapping into the concept of Mortality present externally, which would infect them and make them spend some time getting rid of the traces.

Connecting once in a while would be enough. As Compass Carburettor was charging himself up here, the Secret Society member would head out to find out the true reason, "To the world of the weakest Genre Representative that could unleash a Genre Representation,"

"Martial."
