I Hate Systemschapter 788: four complementary powers

"I feel like I'm about to burst!" Stencil said in alarm as the energy continued to circulate in her body, looking on the verge of exploding due to the instability of its form.

"Keep at it." Hazen said, "You'll be able to endure further."

Originally, the strength of her attacks was entirely based on the level of her Systems—their Core Skills. After all, when activated, they consumed the necessary Mental Energy before unleashing the respective effect.

But that indeed had its limitations. And at the moment, Stencil wasn't a System Slayer but a miniature Immortal.

And it was typical of Immortal to change energy forms and charge them up for later use. Pretty much everyone with a bit of power in a cultivation world—Xianxia Worlds—did that.

Therefore, Stencil too was capable of the same, which was why Hazen advised her to circulate her power through the Skill-Breaker System and create an energy that contains the power of its Core Skill.

A direct activation didn't result in enough power. So, as long as she kept up with this and continued to store this new energy with the power of the Skill-Breaker System, the unleashed attack would be devasting.

Almost a minute passed in response as Stencil was unable to endure anymore. Spiritual Energy began to escape out of her body like a flood as the new energy she created was on the verge of exploding out of her body.

"Alright, you've hit your limit." Hazen nodded, immediately causing Stencil to feel like she attained freedom.

Stencil placed her hand on the window and stared at the Grade 2 System that was approaching the truck to attack it. An instant later, the new energy she created flowed into the window, causing it to shine with the same radiance as the entirety of the energy was absorbed into it.

A moment later, the window turned transparent once again as suddenly, the Grade 2 System that was about to attack them stopped, stunned in response before letting out a guttural roar.

Grade 2 System—Dragon (Level 161)!

A crack formed on its body as Stencil's power targeted its Core Skill, rapidly weakening it in response, preventing it from activating its power for a few seconds at the very least.

"Hazen!" Compass Carburettor's eyes shot open as he glared through the window.

"On it!" Hazen read his mind in advance, realising the plan as he focused the entirety of his power, placing his hand on the window to target the Dragon System.

Cause and Effect—Absentmindedness!

The Dragon System became absent-minded, not taking the steps to protect itself, despite that being its intention until now.

At this moment, sparks burst out of Compass Carburettor's body as immediately, he glared at the Dragon System, unleashing a Mental Energy stream that slammed into the latter.

But right at the moment of contact, the Mental Energy transformed into Mental Fragments, taking the form of the effect it had before.

Core Skill—Waning Essence (Level 274)!

When Waning Essence slammed into him, the entirety of the Mental Energy in his reserves vanished. This caused the rest of its power to remain stagnant in his body, only able to take effect when he gained more energy.

But using its stagnant state as a chance, Compass Carburettor began to convert it into Mental Fragments. And without the Waning Essence System actively controlling its power in him, he was able to transform it into Mental Fragments entirely.

Following that, he stored it in the form of Mental Energy before unleashing it onto the Dragon System, reverting it into its Mental Fragment form soon after.

The effects of Waning Essence alarmed the Dragon System, as while it was in a state of absent-mindedness, its Mental Energy reserves fell sharply.

And of course, all this Mental Energy was absorbed by Compass Carburettor, as that was how Waning Essence worked. It simply depleted the opponent's energy.

Instantly, Compass Carburettor's reserves were hundreds of times greater than what he possessed before, all thanks to unleashing the effect on the Dragon System.

Immediately after, he transformed the Mental Energy of the Dragon System into Mental Fragments, using the effects of Secret Society to turn them into Invoked Spirits.

The Dragon Invoked Spirit passed through the windows of the truck in the form of Mental Energy to condense its physical form right atop the Dragon System to glare at the other party.

Spirit Morph!

A portion of its body began to transform into Mental Fragments. Instantly, it became Mental Energy and flowed into Compass Carburettor.

Though, right after it nullified the effects of Absentmindedness and Stencil's Skill-Breaker, the Dragon System aimed at the Dragon Invoked Spirit, destroying it.

Right at that moment, the Dragon Invoked Spirit reverted into Mental Energy and flowed back into Compass Carburettor who grinned in response, causing his hand to wriggle before creating three scales.

He handed them over to Gehera, "Happily steal its powers using this."

"Thank you." Gehera nodded as she pocked the three, using the first scale to unleash her Ruin of Amagoth, stealing the Dragon System's power rapidly, alarming the latter.

Compass Carburettor shared the Mental Energy he gained with Stencil and Hazen, causing their reserves to surpass their initial amount.

This was their plan. Stencil would disrupt their powers before Hazen turned them helpless for a moment. Using that chance, Compass Carburettor would target them with Spirit Morph and steal a small fragment of their body, which he would give to Gehera.

Using that connection, she would be able to use her Ruin of Amagoth and steal their powers. This was their best plan to weaken the other party. And when necessary, Gehera would use the stolen powers to solve their problems.

After all, the power stolen from a Grade 2 System would be tremendously effective.

"You dare steal my power?" The Dragon System roared in response as it chased after the truck furiously.

In contrast, Truck-Kun flexed his driving skills as the truck danced through the void, constantly evading the attacks of the various Systems. And from time to time, whenever a Grade 3 System was about to critically injure Immortal, the truck would ram into them to teleport them to some corner of the universe, buying precious few seconds.

Through Stencil, Immortal was able to learn of their actions, breaking into a subtle smile even while getting beaten up by the Grade 3 Systems.
