"The Disastrous Life of Farma?" The title indeed piqued his interest as he flipped to the first page, reading the Master Mage's tragic past that made him vow to eradicate the entire Demon Race.
But, things never went according to plan as every time he won something, he lost more, making his life a tragedy. It didn't even take long before he was into the story, feeling as if he could feel the Master Mage's pain and understand his motives.
"Hey!" The Felasi Clan Head shouted all of a sudden, pulling the book as she said in anger, "Even I didn't read that far. Don't read it before me!"
"Come on, dear." Her husband fawned on her, "As our Clan Head, don't you have a lot of work to do? I'll keep this book safe until then, promise."
"Screw you!" The Felasi Clan Head smacked him, "You said the same last time too. And what happened? You finished everything by the time I finished my work. Clan Head my foot, you be the Clan Head! You're stronger than me anyway."
"Surely you jest, my dear. I'm a frail young boy." Her husband massaged the location where he was smacked by her, smiling as before she noticed, the book ended up in his hands as he slowly slithered towards the exit, suddenly acting as if he forgot something, "Oh! There's an emergency that I have to attend to. I'll take my leave!"
"Come back!" The Felasi Clan Head shouted, unleashing multiple streams to catch her husband who slipped away like a slippery eel, with the book in tow as his arrogant laughter resounded through the corridor.
"That…man." The Felasi Clan Head could only sign disappointedly in the end, feeling that it was a loss, "I wanted to read the book first. He always spoils my fun. That child-like bastard."
Hyunna had been observing everything from the side, seeing the evident disappointment in the face of his mother-in-law as he took out another book from his sleeve and placed it on the desk, noticing her surprise as he said, "I have a Tamed Beast that allows me to mass produce any story I wrote. So, I had a couple more copies of the same book with me from the start."
"Hahaha!" The Felasi Clan Head laughed in response as she happily picked up the book and began to read from where she stopped before, taking her time to enjoy it as she eyed him after some time, "As Faura's husband, you'll have to face a lot of opposition from the Clan as she's bound to become the next Clan Head."
"I can guarantee your freedom and safety to a certain extent, but you'll have to depend on yourself beyond that." She then revealed a smile, staring at the book, "You have made an interesting story here. I've also seen Faura's portrait that you painted. You're talented in this field. So, make a name for yourself as an artist."
"That would become your shield in the future."
'It went just as you had predicted.' Hyunna thought in his mind.
'Of course! My abilities aren't offensive in nature, but they're the strongest!' The Thousand-Faced Beast said smugly, 'In this entertainment-lacking world, you'll become the Saint that cures their boredom.'
'The Saint of Entertainment seems like a good title, if I say so myself.' Hyunna grinned.
'Let's not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?' The Thousand-Faced Beast said, 'You're entirely reliant on me for the time being. And that's not good. You too should learn to make portraits, paintings, stories, etc.'
'I'll do.' He nodded before staring at the figure of the Felasi Clan Head that was immersed in her book, bowing as he took his leave, "Then, I'll begin working on another book, mother-in-law."
"Go, go, have a good time." The Felasi Clan Head waved her hand nonchalantly, lifting her head to stare at his exiting back as her eyes curled up into a smile, 'For the first time, Faura is actually smitten with someone. She's no longer a loose canon that kills anyone in her path.'
'And, that's all thanks to him.' She grinned, 'Hyunna, you're a great addition to my Clan. Honestly, it's your father's short-sightedness in failing to sense your talents.'
After a while, she sighed in amazement, closing the book once she finished it, "That was a splendid story. Even as a Demon, I loved the conclusion. Those from the other races would like it even more, especially the Humans."
She stared at the book, smiling after a minute, "Wait, I can sell it, right? Since he can mass produce…"
"This will become a hit among the people and bring in lots of revenue for our Clan." She laughed in the end, "You're indeed my golden goose, Hyunna."
…
"Kekeke!" Faura grinned sheepishly as she looked at a painting depicting her and Hyunna, covering her face in embarrassment as she shook her head, "Kyaaa!"
She then heard a flurry of footsteps, hurriedly tucking away the scroll in her sleeve as she took a seat nearby and began to sip some tea, trying to act calm as she watched Hyunna enter the room excitedly.
"Faura, your mother liked that story." Hyunna said in excitement, "A servant just passed on the message requesting me to mass produce the same."
"Awesome!" Faura laughed, patting his back, "I told you to be more confident in your story. It's great. If even I cried at its ending, I'm sure others would bawl their eyes out."
"But…" He then sighed, "I'm only an Expert. So, I don't have enough mana to produce as many books as what the Clan Head has requested of me."
"I'll take care of that. You needn't worry." Faura grinned as she rushed into a nearby room and brought out a casket full of mana recovery potions, "There's enough to last you for a month. If you want more, you just need to ask."
"But, we don't have an Alchemist in our Clan, right? Wouldn't it be expensive?" Hyunna expressed his worry, "I feel like I'll be consuming beyond my worth."
"Then…" Faura thought as her eyes curled up, coming up with a cunning plan as she stared at her portrait, "All we need to do is sell premium goods to make up for the potion costs."
"You mean…?" Hyunna tilted his head.
"An auction, silly." Faura grinned, "We'll auction tickets for you to make a portrait of others. As you can even capture their aura, your portraits are on a whole other level when compared to other paintings."
"They'll definitely sell for a premium." She tapped her chin in thought, "But first, we must popularise you to bank on that sweet gold."
