I Hate Systemschapter 613: cc takes action

"The Plague Doctor profession…you better forget about it." Prince Boznan Burnak said, "Too many have tried in the past to fail futilely. And, you'll be resulting in the destruction of the Burnak Kingdom in the process, which is something I can't accept."

"Sacrifices are necessary to create anything of value." Saint Calvos said before moving to the side, smiling as he pointed at the far end of the room, "Besides, it's not like we don't have a chance. We actually do, unlike our predecessors that attempted the same."

At the far end of the room was a wall covered by Saint Calvos's feathers.

With a snap of his finger, the feathers fell on the ground, revealing the entrance to another room that was shaped like a dome. And placed in its centre was the bleeding head of a Titan.

"A Titan?" Boznan Burnak frowned in response, "What is a Titan doing here? They serve no use in the creation of the Plague Doctor profession."

"No, they do, or at least," Saint Calvos smiled, "She does. Damn immortal, even with her head cut off, she's still alive."

"But what I meant isn't her power as a Titan, but what she had obtained beyond that." Saint Calvos said solemnly, "She was once a Host to those entities."

"A…" Boznan Burnak caught wind of what he wished to say, 'System Host, huh.'

"Following that, she became a Slayer. Currently, her body possesses the essence of the immortality and calamity that a Titan possesses. As she's a princess, she has both professions. Secondly, there's the power of a Principal Arbiter that allows her to turn into a human fully. And thirdly, her act of birthing a spawn between her and a human man caused all these changes to be cemented as part of her power." Saint Calvos said, stressing in the end…

"After all, he too was a Host. Unfortunately, a Slayer ended up killing him in the end, otherwise, we could have experimented with them further." He finished speaking, staring at Boznan Burnak to ask, "So, what do you say? We truly have a chance in creating the Plague Doctor profession."

"And by using the traits of the Calamity and Immortal Professions of the Titans, the resultant Plague Doctor profession would make us the strongest race."

"You truly made a deal with something worse than a Demon to satisfy your greed, huh." Boznan Burnak sighed all of a sudden, gazing at the severed head of the Titan as he asked, "Why haven't you tried escaping? With your power as a Saint, if you wished to escape, even these two cannot stop you."

In response to his question, the Titan only remained silent, closing her eyes, and expressing no desire to converse.

"She's been the same from the start." Saint Calvos snorted in distaste, "Even Witchcraft doesn't work in making her talk. Even with the powers of the two of us combined, we could only seal her."

"Saint, what exactly is the Plague Doctor profession?" Upon seeing the three Saints turning silent, Bilfuren took the chance to ask the Guardian Saint.

Boznan Burnak said after a moment of thought, "It's a profession that allows you to act like a God. The life and death of the people would depend on you. The preparations to unleash the abilities of a Plague Doctor don't require materials, dolls, and other items like a Witch. It's closer to a Human Mage."

"Moreover, it's not something that can only heal people like a Doctor." He continued, staring at Bilfuren to say, "You know how helpless our Doctors are, right? They don't have any other abilities than to cure people. So, they are always at a disadvantage during a crisis where they are targeted first by our enemies."

"Plague Doctors wield the Mana Virus that is impossible to detect except for Saints, capable of unleashing myriad abilities, both destructive and constructive." Boznan Burnak said, "Though, as long as it exists long enough, the other professions would adapt to create countermeasures against it eventually. But despite that, it'll be stronger than most professions and elevate the status of us Birdmen."

"Then, why are you opposing us?" Saint Calvos shouted in anger.

"Are you seriously asking me that?" Boznan Burnak said as his expression gradually hardened; immediately, the surrounding air turned gloomy, "If you wish to create the Plague Doctor profession like how many Saints had tried and failed in the past, then do so by all means. But,"

Baleful winds began to blow through the place as his voice resounded, emitting terrifying killing intent, "Leave my Kingdom out of it."

"Even if you're the Guardian Saint, you're just one against two Saints." Saint Calvos snorted as he resisted the baleful wings, taking out a doll to target his opponent.

Boznan Burnak waved his hand, causing the doll in Saint Calvos' hand to burn up in response. A couple of feathers exited his wing and transformed into a doll as another feather turned into a nail and was hammered into the doll.

The sound of glass shattering resounded as Saint Calvos grunted, taking a step back in shock as dozens of his defensive abilities had been destroyed by that one attack.

In the meantime, Saint Balvador crushed a couple of his feathers, turning them into a dark gel that he smeared upon his face, drawing a pattern before glaring at Saint Calvos.

Immediately, the sound of a dozen mirrors shattering resounded from Boznan Burnak as the damage Saint Calvos sustained was transmitted to him too.

'Fighting two Saints is indeed tough.' Boznan Burnak frowned, healing the expended feathers using his Doctor Profession, mounting another attack as he threw out four dolls that transformed into puppets that rushed at his opponents.

While everything was happening, slithering on the ground nearby was a Dragon Bullet in its serpentine form. It had been observing Boznan Burnak and Bilfuren from the start. And when they entered the portal, it followed them, directly managing to reach the core of the Talon Secret Organisation where the two heads running it lived.

'Now, what's your secret?' Thinking as such, the Dragon Bullet reached the severed Titan Head before slithering into her nose, slowly entering her mind, all while her eyes stared at it, gazing at its actions with a fierce stare.
