I Hate Systemschapter 533: hazen

Even it hadn't noticed it after that as suddenly, the cultivators that were charging at it stopped abruptly, stunned in response. They were unable to detect it.

After a minute in such a fashion, the Double-Faced Monkey gradually understood that it was the cause for their confusion, sensing a mysterious energy flowing out of it and into the cultivators that made them look around helplessly, unable to sense it anymore.

Even though the Double-Faced Monkey was unable to make heads or tails from the situation anymore, it still felt puzzled, roaming around the street before staring at the same symbol that was plastered onto the wall of a house.

It remained there while its abilities went haywire, connecting with the minds of everyone in its range.

And as it stared at the symbol, a mysterious feeling welled up within it. A moment later, a teardrop cascaded from its eye as it began to feel a sense of sadness.

Of course, the emotion didn't originate from within itself but from one of the people its mind had been connected to.

It was from a farmer, one that had been struggling to make ends meet, having three children that were at a marriageable age. But, prospects were hard to find for someone from such a poor background, especially since his wife was sick.

He had been toiling hard from morning to evening but despite everything, an ailing body and a few pennies were all he got. His children didn't have the proper nutrition to fuel their developing bodies and were suffering from multiple ailments.

He was still a strong enough individual, the reason he had been pressing forth for so long. But suddenly, when he approached with wall with the symbol that he gazed at while passing by daily, his emotions suddenly churned and before he realised it, he was crying from sorrow.

And this sorrow spread to everyone whose minds had been connected to the Double-Faced Monkey.

A few seconds later, the other people too began to be influenced by the sorrow as the farmer was unable to endure any longer, collapsing to the ground as he began to cry aloud, "This damn war raised the price of goods too much. I'm only from a poor family with meagre savings. How long can I last?"

Hearing his sorrowful wails, those connected to his mind expressed their sympathy, rallying up to console him, promising him any help that they could provide to help him and his family tide through the crisis.

The war at Tura City had raged on for months. And thanks to that, people were in a state of panic, stockpiling food and other necessities. This in turn caused the prices for food and other goods to sharply increase, affecting the market.

This resulted in those in the lowermost class of society, the menial labourers and beggars to have nothing to buy for the prices of goods shot up at an alarming pace.

So, a significant sum of the population had been suffering thanks to the war.

Slowly, in the streets of various cities, through the Double-Faced Monkeys that were there, staring blankly at the symbol of Secret Society they came across, a crowd gradually formed around them, unable to see them but had their minds connected, sharing their sorrow and sufferings.

And all these emotions formed a dense stream of Mental Energy, flowing into the symbol. And unlike before, the Mental Energy seemed different as the thoughts and wishes of the people began to combine with similar counterparts, gradually turning bigger and bigger.

And as the same thing happened everywhere, the effect soon reached the Tura City battlefield where millions had gathered, causing a collective emotional session.

After all, the rest of the Gaider Realm was only reeling from the effects of war. Those here had been involved in it directly, having lost their loved ones, suffered through a lot.

They had been in a tense state all along, on an edge as they weren't sure if the Evil Spirits could be defeated or not.

All these emotions formed Mental Energy streams that began to combine with each other, flowing into the symbols worn on the clothes of some, the inscriptions on the weapons of some, etc.

Everyone from the Academy wore clothes and carried weapons that were inscribed with the symbol of Secret Society that was treated as the insignia of their Academy.

The symbols absorbed all the Mental Energy as they began to shine with a mysterious presence throughout the Gaider Realm. And some of the streams flowed through the closed gates to the Folkan Secret Realm, descending into the centre of the Temperate Refinement Zone where a mutated Blood Vitality Grass had been planted.

It absorbed all the incoming Mental Energy, causing the thoughts, emotions, and feelings in it to become stronger due to the enlightenment nature of the place.

And following that, it unleashed a thick beam of Mental Energy that travelled through the entirety of the Gaider Realm before flowing to one isolated region, situated after a massive ocean with terrifying currents.

It appeared on a certain island where a village stood. Once malnourished, currently experiencing the bountifulness of nature as the number of newborns and children in the village was five times the number of adults.

Hazen Village!

It was a special village, a religious community that was isolated from everyone, but once the rightful rulers of the Gaider Realm.

The thick stream of Mental Energy gushed into a certain statue before which a group of people were seated, in a praying posture, silently offering their gratitude to the entity that had saved them all and protected their village from harm while bestowing them bountifulness.

Crack!

Slowly, a crack formed on the statue, alarming everyone as the cracks rapidly spread across it, causing the statue to shatter in a matter of seconds.

"My Lord!" The Village Chief screamed in despair before suddenly gazing in shock, unable to control his emotions as he began to tear up in response, "This is our gift from the heavens!"

Uwaa! Uwaa! Uwaa!

Situated amidst the rubble of the statue was a human baby, crying in response. The village chief gazed at the others, observing the unconcealable joy on their faces as he slowly kneeled before the baby, prostrating, "Thank you!"

He then gently lifted the baby, smiling as he said, "It seems our Lord has reincarnated to continue his endless journey once again."

He then stared at the symbol of double 'C' that was tangentially joined, engraved like a tattoo on the baby's forehead, muttering slowly…

"Hazen!"
