I Hate Systemschapter 530: one shot to decide everything

"How long…is this going to take?" Xuer muttered, feeling mentally exhausted. She had been staring at the ongoing battle for months now, spending only a minimal time sleeping and taking care of herself.

"It'll end…eventually," Ranze said, equally exhausted.

"I hope so too," Bunuela muttered, gasping for air. While Compass Carburettor and Straxia were engaged in this long war, they were fighting the three remaining Systems Hosts.

But, the fight ended anticlimactically as Balmer overpowered their opponents who seemed to have weakened considerably.

After all, to kill Gallo, they had overexerted their selves, even using their lifespans. This forced them into a weakened state. And against the group geared specifically to kill them, it was a no-brainer.

Lota was the last among the Evil Spirits to die as, after that, Ranze and the group had been staring at the fight in the sky.

They didn't know what to do beyond this point. Honestly, they had thought that their actions would play a big role in deciding the fate of the battle in the sky, but they did not.

And unable to join the terrifying battle, they could only stare in silence.

Suddenly, their surroundings morphed as the quartet of Ranze, Xuer, Bunuela, and Balmer noticed that they were on a wide grassland now. And seated before them, sipping tea that formed in a bowl atop a stone table were two figures.

Ranze gazed at the figures of Compass Carburettor and Rhizen, asking in doubt, "What's…happening?"

"We've reached the end game." Compass Carburettor muttered, sighing as he got up, "The forces on both sides are equal in number. At present, both of us are down to the last clone."

"This means…?" Ranze's eyes lit up, "We'll win as long as we kill the Soul Rendering Evil Spirit?"

"No," Compass Carburettor said, arriving before Ranze as he patted his head, "The one to kill her would be you."

"…me?" Ranze stared blankly, unable to understand what Compass Carburettor was getting at.

"Well…" Compass Carburettor slowly walked away, stating with a collected gaze, "This is where I'll die."

Immediately after saying that, his figure vanished.

"What?" Balmer muttered in shock, intending to stop him when he saw that Compass Carburettor had vanished, shouting in alarm, "Hazen!"

Plop!

A figure landed on the ground, wearing a deer mask, covered by a jet-black robe, staring at the middle-aged woman waiting before him.

Upon seeing the deer mask, the middle-aged woman raised an eyebrow in ridicule, "Compass…you have a funny humour."

"Thank you for the validation." Compass Carburettor muttered in response, gazing at Straxia, already aware that this was the last of her. All her clones had been eradicated.

As for a clone that she had left as a backup, an Apocalypse World Compass Carburettor infiltrated the Velar Secret Realm using Dita's power, located the clone and eradicated it.

Of course, Straxia killed the Apocalypse World Compass Carburettor immediately after. But with that, her backup means were destroyed.

But in the same vein, all the Reality Marbles holding the Apocalypse World Compass Carburettors had been destroyed by her.

And as she stared at him, sensing his luck, she confirmed that this was indeed the original. Unlike the regular Luck-based Systems, Straxia was currently the Luck System herself.

Or rather, the Luck System was in control of her body. And, it had already gained all the qualifications to reach Grade 2.

The Coincidental Luck System was already at level 94. And by swallowing the other Systems, its level continued to increase. It was more than enough to attain the peak at level 99, having already assimilated all the Systems part of its Genre.

So, the moment the Restriction Order was lifted, it would become a Grade 2 System immediately.

Therefore, through its special powers, it was able to obtain all the necessary details through the luck values.

And with that, it had determined that Compass Carburettor didn't have a revival mechanism in place.

With only thirty percent of his power lifted, it wasn't enough for his Warble to take effect as that part of his power was still sealed.

Straxia had checked things multiple times, sending countless spies through a variety of channels. And she had personally made a trip through the Gaider Realm to confirm it herself.

Normally, she was of the thought that Compass Carburettor had fooled her. After all, he definitely had the capability to do so, hence taking a cautious approach in her research.

It wasn't just through that, but the death of every System Host was an indicator of his schemes, allowing her to understand just what had transpired. Each Luck probed through Compass Carburettor in its respective way.

And thanks to the multiple variables, the conclusion remained the same.

If killed now, Compass Carburettor would die.

"What the…?" Ranze muttered when he was dropped onto the Tura City wall along with Xuer, Bunuela and Balmer. They then gazed at the figure of Compass Carburettor and Straxia facing each other on the ground.

He observed Straxia's figure, recalling the image engraved on the scrolls passed through the Gaider Realm that depicted the existence of the Evil Spirits, shuddering in response.

After all, even though her appearance didn't seem as horrible as depicted in the scroll, the sense of dread he felt was infinitely higher.

It wasn't just him that was feeling this as every single cultivator in Tura City was the same, trembling in fear as they felt a suffocating presence from within her, one enough to rend their fates with a casual glance.

Compass Carburettor too could feel the suffocating presence emanating from her gradually, 'So, this is a Grade 2 System that's on the verge of being born.'

He then retracted his Mental Energy Body Layer, removing his deer mask before gently extending his right hand towards Straxia, condensing Anthozoa, "Wanna bet?"

"Sure," Straxia smiled, extending her right hand towards him, pointing the index finger at his forehead, "One hit to decide everything. This is by far the greatest gamble that I've participated in."

"Sounds interesting."

Gradually, Anthozoa began to pulse with a terrifying amount of power as Compass Carburettor poured his everything into it, fusing all the bullets into one to unleash an ultimate attack.

In the same vein, Straxia poured the entirety of her power and luck into the tip of her index finger, condensing a tiny lightning sphere.

The two parties silently stared at each other, separated by a distance of two metres, eyes locked, betting their everything into this one attack, slowly about to unleash the attack that would decide the fate of myriad worlds.
