The lady calmly arrived at the room attached to the back of the pub, taking a seat as she went through the scroll, muttering once she finished reading it, "So, he's assured that Straxia, Velcorn, and Dwun would be coming after him. And hence, he created this."
"And by the looks of it, there's a good chance he's guessed their Martial Spirits correctly." She muttered, scowling, "As expected of this cunning bastard. He has garnered support from the powerhouses of the Gaider Realm. If I attack, there's a good chance I'll fall into this trap."
"Well, it doesn't matter." She snorted after a couple of seconds had passed, placing the scroll nearby, "A Secret Realm would open soon. And there, he wouldn't have any of these experts to rely upon. That's where I'll kill him."
The lady then picked the ring that she obtained from the customer just now, smiling as she slowly unleashed her Origin Essence, probing through it before suddenly, her Origin Essence was rapidly sucked into it.
And immediately after, a barricade formed around her, causing her to smile, "Interesting."
She wore the ring, relaxing a little as she looked into other items that she had obtained. Some of them were useful while most were useless. But still, she had profited in the end, "This is why drunkards are so useful."
She was Chenger, having sworn to make Compass Carburettor's life miserable. But, she didn't directly charge toward him the moment she arrived at the Gaider Realm.
Aware that such an action was suicide, Chenger began to plan accordingly, understanding that Compass Carburettor was an expert at schemes and had killed her countless times using that.
And hence, she planned to create a force under her command, intending to use them to corner Compass Carburettor once she tracked him down.
In this world, even though strength was supreme, the strength of an individual didn't exceed an organisation. After all, this was a wuxia world.
Even powerhouses at the Martial Providence Stage would at most be able to kill a hundred cultivators at the Martial Origin Stage. They would be killed after that.
That meant, as long as she nurtured a strong enough force, she would be able to kill Compass Carburettor no matter how strong he had grown. Moreover, she should always hide in the shadows, only then will she get her chance.
If she was out in the open like before, her death was guaranteed.
"Currently, Compass Carburettor doesn't know that I've come after him. So, I can remain in hiding and strike him when the time is ripe." She muttered, continuing to look through the items she obtained one after another.
After she arrived at the Gaider Realm, she thought long and hard about what to do. Thanks to the Coincidental Luck System probing for his location, they found out that Compass Carburettor was in the Gaider Realm.
As he defended himself right after that, they were unable to obtain any other clues about him. But, even Straxia didn't arrive at the Gaider Realm, unwilling to clash with Compass Carburettor head on right from the get-go.
She chose another Realm to build up her force first before attempting to kill him.
The rest of the System Hosts too were of the same line of thought. Only Chenger was different as the Destiny Luck System had given her confidence to face him first.
And hence, she landed in the Gaider Realm.
But after that, she fell into deep contemplation, wondering what she had to do to target him. And hence, she determined to create an underground information network.
And the easiest way to do so was to create a pub. And hence, she had established a chain of pubs in Dlon City.
These pubs were catered to the mortals more than cultivators. And hence, they were easier to manage. With her strength, any mortal that dared to go against her was easy to deal with.
But, the actual reason for establishing a pub was to take advantage of drunkards. People addicted to alcohol would do anything to drink daily, even going to the extent of selling their prized possessions.
Most pubs never accepted that, as there were chances for them to be cheated by being sold counterfeit items.
But, Chenger was different from the rest. With her memories of 48 loops, she had a treasure trove of experience to bank upon, also able to apply the foundation of the Gaider Realm to it.
Using that, she was able to estimate the value of items. Moreover, her pub sold a variety of liquor that was popular with the masses, most of which were her own creation.
There was considerable resistance that she faced at the start when she established this service as people of power wished to purchase her recipes. But, she was somehow able to deal with that.
Though, it was a recurring theme at this point as countless people in power continued to trouble her to this day. But despite that, there were lucrative rewards involved in this service.
First of all was the fact that people were loose-lipped when drunk. And she had a keen eye to determine whether someone carried any secrets with them or not.
That way, she was able to harvest a lot of precious information, being updated with a lot of things that happened in and around Dlon City.
The second advantage was the treasures. Only a cultivator had the means to determine whether an item was a treasure or not.
But in any world with a significant history, there should be countless powers that had lost their glory and had forgotten their history, now living generation after generation as mere mortals. And, they might still have some family heirloom that they have been guarding for generations.
All that had to be done was to make the breadwinner of the family addicted to alcohol, and the rest was in the bag. After using all their money to drink, they would eventually start pawning their heirlooms too.
And that's where her pub came. Not only did it serve unique alcohol that wasn't available in other stores, but if they lacked money, they could sell their items to pay for alcohol. These two features caused the popularity of her pub to skyrocket immediately, leading her to a lot of wealth.
