I Hate Systemschapter 355: treasures

"Where is this leading towards now?" Compass Carburettor frowned, sending in the Spydragon first to scout out the place.

That way, he could safely scale through all obstacles without triggering anything. He was only there to see if there would be a powerful enough treasure suitable to his interests.

And considering the scale of the ruins, the date they said to have existed at, etc. he was rather curious about it.

People of the Gaoan city were of course aware of the ruins existing in the Misty Gorge Ruins. After all, it was in the name itself.

But, they weren't ever able to reach there. After all, the ruins was situated at the centre of the Misty Gorge Ruins where countless Martial Providence Stage Origin Beasts lived.

If they arrived there, then a battle would ensue. Considering the sheer number of Origin Beasts situated there, it was a suicide mission. Even the strongest of the powerhouses like the Giant Whale Sect Leader would be done for in this place.

That was why the ruins remained undisturbed to this date. But, it wasn't as if the people forgot about it or anything. Those wishing to make it big had infiltrated the Misty Gorge Ruins from time to time, intending to reach the ruins.

But all of them had failed.

It was because the entire region was covered by mist. So, getting lost was easy. Eventually, they would be exhausted and killed by one of the Origin Beasts.

Maps were useless, considering how they wouldn't be able to tell north from the south within the mist. The sky itself would be covered, not to mention there being giant trees all around the place.

So, once someone got lost here, they were pretty much a goner.

But Ranze was different. Thanks to his Divine Martial Spirit, he was able to use the map he obtained like a GPS and take the safe routes to eventually reach the ruins. As for the Claw Wolf Bandits, since they were tracking him, they too took the safe route, evading conflict with most beast groups there.

That was how they too managed to reach the ruins.

Compass Carburettor, on the other hand, was pretty calm, not even the slightest threatened in this place. After all, even Martial Providence Stage Origin Beasts weren't much before him. He could casually take care of them all.

Considering how he was fighting Systems until now, such normal enemies weren't even opponents worth a sweat to him. Killing them was too easy, as he didn't even have to plan his actions.

It made him all the more aware of how terrifying Systems were. It had to be noted that he was only facing Hatchling Systems until now.

And as their name signified, they were newborn Systems. Those beyond level 10 were the truly dangerous Systems that he would most definitely have to face in the future.

After all, only by absorbing their stronger Coordinates would he grow stronger. Besides, he was also hoping to figure out a method to kill them without destroying their Core Skills.

After all, that's how he obtained the power of Permanence to use. It wasn't as good as the Core Skill of Permanence, but the trait still allowed him to exhibit the same.

So, even if they would be weakened significantly, obtaining Core Skills that were fully under his control would be beneficial to him in the future.

Right at this time, the Spydragon reached the end of its exploration, arriving within an underground chamber where a lone statue stood.

It was a humanoid statue and sealed within it was a bear covered by flames.

Compass Carburettor arrived before it, muttering, "Heaven Martial Spirit…"

"What the heck were they experimenting with here?" He frowned, slowly noticing that he had reached the end of the path.

"No, that cannot be it." He frowned, unleashing his Dust Wave, not targeting anything as his enemy, only spreading it around to see if there existed any gaps to pass through.

Eventually, he noticed a section along the walls where the Dust Wave was able to move through. After observing the length of the wall through which the Dust Wave moved through, he used the same to bore a tiny hole.

A miniature Spydragon flew through the hole, slithering in its snake form before reaching the other side. "I see, this is their treasury."

There were rows upon rows of items there, of various forms. There were even Martial Spirits sealed inside mysterious containers.

The fact that a Martial Spirit could be sealed meant that it should have originated from Martial Origin Stage cultivators at the very least.

Since he didn't have any cultivation, Compass Carburettor was unable to probe through their powers.

He looked around, noticing that there were even cultivators sealed here. He frowned, focusing on someone at the front, noticing a stream of red between the two.

This was observed through Secret Society, meaning that the people sealed here were still alive.

Ignoring them, he continued to look through the place through the eyes of the Spydragon, noticing many pouches placed on shelves.

The Spydragon used its tail to open one of them, noticing that they were all spatial pouches. It slithered into one pouch, noticing a gigantic space within.

"At least twenty cubic metres." He muttered, observing that it was filled to the brim with Essence Crystals. There were thirty such spatial bags.

"That's a staggering amount of wealth." He nodded, looking at the final spatial bag that was embroidered with gold patterned beasts, looking into it to see that the space spanned fifty cubic metres.

And, scattered in a pile were materials that were all useful to fuse for Martial Origin Stage cultivators.

After seeing them, Compass Carburettor was stunned before turning excited, "In such a large pile, there should at least be one that is suitable."

He was no longer patient, using the Dust Wave to destroy the door as he entered in person, beginning to collect all the items at the place. It was impossible for him alone to look through everything.

He was planning to ask for Grisha's help in sorting out their properties. After all, even if he wasn't able to find the perfect material, he could try to make an alloy that would give him the desired effect.
