After obtaining the System Fragment of Night Ranger, Compass Carburettor had used it to stabilise the dimensional storage. At present, it was dark within, taking on the traits of the Core Skill—Night Ranger.
Upon seeing that it had stabilised, he sighed in relief while connecting his Mental Energy Form to it. This way, he was able to make use of the Mental Energy stored within the dimensional storage, also now able to use it as a reservoir.
He no longer had to depend on the pitiful amount of Mental Energy stored within his Mental Energy Form. Everything present within the Dimensional Storage was his while he would be able to store all the Mental Energy obtained within it.
Though, he was still unsure about one thing. Would this dimensional storage still be there with him if he returned to the System World immediately? Even though he had stabilised it with a System Fragment, he was still unsure if that was enough to make it his permanently.
'But, since I'm having mixed feelings about it, then it only means that I would still retain the dimensional storage, but part of it would be lost. As to how much would I retain and how much would be lost, I cannot be sure.' He thought, concluding.
'Well, just this alone makes using Permanence worth it.' He sighed. His initial plan involved him heading towards a cultivation world next and obtaining immortal powers from there.
He would use Permanence on himself after obtaining that power to make it his. That way, he'll be able to use the various abilities that cultivators equipped themselves with.
Talismans, pills, formations, mystic arts, etc.
All of them would help in rescuing Stencil and saving her life. This was the primary reason he was doing that.
But, he changed his plan now. After all, he could only use Permanence once. And, that was the only way to obtain any special power.
It was also to note that one thing would remain constant, and that was his act of obtaining Core Skills from other Systems. His present self was capable of using six Core Skills. It would increase once he became a True System Slayer.
But, his daughter was the Host of the Money-Making System. So, once he saves her, she would become a System Slayer too. And, in this dangerous scenario, giving her the means to grow stronger would be better.
And, that would be to make her a True System Slayer. So, once he did that, it would mean that he would never be able to become a True System Slayer.
Therefore, six Core Skills would be all that he would possess. And, without becoming a True System Slayer, he would never be able to level up. That means, all the Mental Energy he possessed was what was stored in his Mental Energy form.
And, that was a pittance, especially when he faced Systems. Without a consistent supply of Mental Energy, he wouldn't have lasted until now.
Moreover, he understood the real reason that he managed to kill Shika. It was thanks to the Coincidental Luck System. In the way Dwun and Shika had moved against one another, barely a fifth of it was due to his schemes.
The rest happened coincidentally. As he was aware of its identity, Compass Carburettor had experimented a little, understanding that the Coincidental Luck System was fully supporting him this time.
That was why he took elaborate measures to target them and make things difficult for them without being discovered. This was the reason he casually stroll through the place while hiding within Shika's space and not once did the Night Ranger System ever detect him.
But, it wouldn't be able to support him all the time. Every time he made a move, he experimented first to see if things coincidentally happened his way or not. If it happened, it meant the Coincidental Luck System was supporting him.
Otherwise, it either meant that it wasn't supporting him or the other Systems from the Luck Genre had countered its Luck. So, he had to consciously be aware of it all the time.
Otherwise, if he depended on luck and took action, chances are that he would charge to his death.
So, all things considered, he needed enough Mental Energy to use all the Core Skills that he would be getting. And, this dimensional storage acted as a massive reservoir of that.
Even though any items he stored within it would vanish once he left this world, the Mental Energy won't. That was something he could confirm. So, now that he decided to use Permanence on himself by the end of this world, he changed his plans.
'I have to not only kill as many Systems as possible with Coincidental Luck System's help but also gain powerful abilities that would stay relevant even in other worlds.' He sighed, asking Grisha, "How's the situation on your end?"
"I'm tailing after Dwun. It'll be hard to affect him, but I'm scouting for other Systems in the vicinity first to lead him to them." Replied Grisha, now possessing Secret Society and Info Scanner.
"Alright, be careful." He said, leaving her to her devices, for she had enough experience in her previous loops to not do any reckless actions.
"I'm being accompanied by the ants. So, I'll be safe." She replied before cutting off the connection.
Now that he got a moment's free time, Compass Carburettor noticed his bloody condition, frowning, 'I need to take a bath and heal my injuries.'
He had sustained them whenever Grisha had been injured. So at present, he lacked any skin, with the nerves in them on the verge of exploding.
Thanks to his Skill of Natural Recovery, he had recovered to a certain extent. Any other human would have died by now.
But, just when he planned to commit suicide and condense a brand new body, all his senses flared up as he activated Directional Misalignment immediately, noticing a figure appearing twenty metres behind him.
He didn't even have to glance at the other party to realise what they were. For, his Anthozoa was pulsing erratically, making the other party's identity apparent.
A True System Slayer.. And a rather high levelled one at that.
