I Hate Systemschapter 265: the power of burst element

The power he obtained as a Haggon was simple but had significant uses. It was still the burst element, but unlike external uses, it was internally generated.

For example, when he punched as a Haggon, by activating this ability, he could punch faster, giving it an explosive burst. He could spread the burst element throughout his muscles, raising his toughness, layer it within his skin, increasing his defence.

He could increase his running speed, etc.

The ability was pretty simple, but for a Haggon, it was the strongest weapon, allowing it to display its advantage the most.

After all, a Haggon was a natural flesh tank, possessing powerful muscles with impressive mobility. Adding onto their natural regenerative powers, they were masters of combat. And, this ability only served him to express his gifts as a Haggon better.

He could literally bulldoze his way through things, faster, stronger.

Moreover, once he condensed a horn, the strain he felt on his body reduced by a little. It was still hard to bear while in his human form, but in his Haggon form, it was nothing worth considering. A Haggon's senses ensured that it didn't even bat an eye at the pain. This was its racial advantage, capable of tolerating extreme pain without much effort.

Upon seeing the ants converging at him, intending to swarm him to death, he roared once, watching them stumble to the ground, suffering from shock.

Closing his eyes, he sensed the changes in his body, noticing that what Grisha had said was indeed happening.

As a monster, he had an orb in him. Not every monster had an orb in it, but he was among those that had one now. There was also a pearl right beside it, having grown fully.

And, the moment it manifested, his Darlac flowed into the pearl, dissolving it due to some shared similarities in their nature. Immediately, his Darlac experienced mild changes before forming a connection with his orb.

Immediately, Compass Carburettor noticed that he was able to use his Darlac better now. Before, when he used the pair of boots to flicker, he consumed 20 Darlac upon each use. But now, the cost had reduced to a mere five Darlac.

It was thanks to the integration that his Darlac became better accustomed to these abilities, synchronising deeper with this world's power structure.

With that, he took on his human form, condensed his pair of wings, and took flight. Suddenly, most of the feathers shot out from the wings, targeting the ants below with a barrage of attacks, causing countless deaths.

By the time the attack finished, a new batch of feathers had finished growing, allowing him to attack again. The feathers slammed into the ants, piercing through their tough carapaces, killing them in one hit.

Nonstop, Compass Carburettor continued to kill them, using his ability to the limit in an effort to better get accustomed to it. This way, his chances of reaching Stage 3 would be the highest.

By this time, Grisha managed to reach the cavern, gazing at the scene below of him blasting the ants nonstop.

More and more ants poured in from other tunnels, with their competitors now dead. So, with an idea of expanding their region of control, they had arrived, facing his onslaught.

Whenever he noticed a horned ant, he would target it first, use the pair of boots to flicker towards its corpse, and transport it back. He threw them in a section in the wall that he blasted open, using it as a cave to store the ant corpses.

He intended to eat them once there was enough of them. Otherwise, switching back and forth from a Haggon and human form wasted too much Darlac. He still needed enough to continue his practice.

Moreover, unlike using the pair of boots, the feathers had a homing feature. So, he only needed to hover in the air, leaving the rest of the work to them. That's why he was able to endure the pain from the overload of his space.

Otherwise, if he moved constantly using his boots, he would have fainted by now.

He already understood that he could easily solve the situation by remaining in his Haggon Form. That way, he would be able to endure the pain. But, it'll take too much time, especially since he still had to target the two System Hosts.

Besides, if there was an option to grow stronger quickly, it made no sense to delay it, especially since there was practically no risk with this method.

While fighting, he used Directional Misalignment from time to time, keeping the two System Hosts engaged. Moreover, as time passed, the stream of Mental Energy he received only continued to increase in quantity, so much so that he also began to divert part of it to level up Info Scanner.

'They are praying continuously.' He smiled upon sensing the emotions behind the prayers.

While he continued to bombard the ants, their corpses continued to pile up. The army of ants under his control—lead by the ant queen that was a member of Secret Society—arrived at the scene soon after, transporting the corpses back to their nest. This way, they'll have more than enough food to breed even more members.

Moreover, it wasn't them alone that were doing it. Ants from other colonies too did this, for there were enough corpses. After all, when they came for the corpses, they became corpses.

Except for those with horns, Compass Carburettor didn't touch anything else, so they continued to pile up.

His Haggon form continued to digest everything that he had swallowed, generating a constant supply of Darlac. And, whenever they had an orb in them, his physique was stimulated, causing his second horn to begin to grow, albeit many times slower than before.

After all, the quality of corpses he swallowed mostly belonged to one-horned ants. So, it would take a lot of time to power level through them.

He had been at the task for four hours, noticing the two System Hosts were hiding. The Night Ranger System Host hadn't run away though, for the moment she tried that, Dwun attacked her.

She was currently in hiding now. As for Dwun, he was obviously tired and was resting. But, the moment it seemed like she would escape, he would attack her.

He loved to fight strong opponents, for that was his joy. And the Night Ranger System Host was a damn strong one that he wished to continue fighting.. If not for his severe exhaustion, he wouldn't have stopped.
