I Hate Systemschapter 1094: slapping the fate system out of commission

[Error #$%# Error, data cannot be found!]

Error messages resounded continuously through Fate as the Fate System was in a state of fluster, unable to determine just what was happening anymore. It was as if he was blinded suddenly. Not just a loss of sight, but every single sense he possessed.

Even connecting to the Astral Network was difficult as it constantly fluctuated due to the attacks on the System World. The universe shift started by Mystique only worsened the situation, putting everything in a state of jeopardy.

"I should return to the System World first." Thinking as such, the Fate System focused on one of his spatial powers, intending to use it to arrive at a stabler universe first before employing the Astral Network there to return to the System World.

Travelling from unstable regions carried a certain risk where he could be thrown off into some far-reaching part of the multiverse.

The Fate System expanded tendrils of fate that streamed from his universe and into the nearby universes, forcefully connecting them together. He focused and continued to expand the range, eventually finding a massive universe that hadn't begun to move yet.

At present, the smaller universes were the only ones moving. The strength of the universe shift wasn't strong enough to move the large universes yet. "Ok, the Astral Network connection there is stable enough. I can get to the System World from there."

The Fate System activated the spatial powers he had stolen by signing into many of Technocraft's worlds, disappearing into a spatial tunnel that formed a bridge between the two universes.

The transfer only took a second, which was how powerful this ability was, unless when interrupted by an entity whose authority over this field was absolute.

"Buheee!" Ahjar made a face akin to a scarecrow as his face suddenly formed a projection within the spatial tunnel, stunning the Fate System. The spatial tunnel wriggled like a worm as the Fate System protected himself with a dense layer of Fate, intending to rely on the rigidity of Fate to arrive at his destination.

"Brat, if your grandpa tells you to bark like a dog, obediently bark as if you have rabies." Ahjar's voice resounded through the tunnel as a rupturing attack slammed into him and tore through his Fate barrier.

"You…!" The Fate System roared in rage and erupted with a torrent of Fate as he destroyed the spatial tunnel, thinking that he would still be within the range where he had spread his Fate around, since the source and destination universes were within that.

The spatial tunnel collapsed as the Fate System found himself within the void of some galaxy with laws so weak that his mere arrival crumbled it.

The Fate System looked around as his expression turned from irritation to frustration, from frustration to despair, and from despair to helplessness. "Where the heck am I?"

"Ahjar!"

The Fate System had been stranded in a random corner of the multiverse, one so disconnected from everything that the effect of universe shift wasn't even observed here.

The void between the universes was the thinnest towards the centre of the multiverse. And the farther towards the edge of the multiverse one went, the wider this void.

And in this remote place, the void was so massive that probably a hundred universes could fit into it.

The universe he found himself in was so cut off from things that it didn't even fall under a Genre Representative. The Fate System expanded his Fate and collapsed weakly. There wasn't any decent universe within the limits of his Fate's range.

All universes he found were batshit weak that even a Hatchling System would shy away from them. The Fate of an entire such universe was less than a Level 1 Hatchling System.

Whether the Fate System stole their Fate or not was of no consequence. There was nothing he could do here to grow stronger or even replenish his power. Even the power of Fate streaming into him through his concept was a paltry sum.

"He…got me!" The Fate System plucked his hair as he observed the worlds around him collapse, unable to handle his presence. There weren't any sentient races though. Forget sentient races, there wasn't even a single lifeform in these universes.

Worst of all, when Ahjar sneaked upon him, he stole all his spatial powers. Meaning, if the Fate System intended to return to the System World, he would have to manually make the trip.

"Fuck youuuuu!" The Fate System roared, hoping his fragments would be able to do something in the war. Though, he didn't have any confidence in them. The Core Skill was within him. And he constituted more than fifty percent of the Fate System.

The remainder, even if they condensed into one figure wouldn't amount to anything, especially since Ahjar was able to handle his main body so easily, despite it being a sneak attack, 'How…did he pass through without alerting my Fate?'

"I have been the Fate System for a few thousand years already. I should surpass him in terms of experience since he only recently became a Concept Representative…" At this point, he shut up, remembering that Ahjar was the Adventure System in the past, the System World's first Grade 4 System, and also, someone that wielded the power of Space for a significant time, vastly longer than himself.

"No…" The Fate System sobbed, mentally breaking down, "Mom, save me!"

"With that, Fate has been taken care of for the time being." Ahjar dusted his hands as he entered the body of a Grade 2 System and recuperated, "It took too much toll on my body to target Fate."

But that was it. All Ahjar needed was some rest to recuperate from the effects of his action. In contrast, the Fate System was out of the picture. As a result, Zaira lost one of her Grade 4 Systems.

"Now, now, let's ensure Zaira doesn't do anything stupid like making the Grade 3 Systems fight the Genre Representatives," He shook his head like he had fits before grinning, "The Grade 3 Systems need to kill themselves for me."

"That's more important."
