"Now let's go. We're getting the Iron Medal today."

My friends and I left the base.

"We still have to defeat the S-rank Floor Bosses to go to the 5th Floor everytime.'

As usual, while we were in line at the temple, Kiel mumbled loudly to himself.

"I guess so. Well, they're easier to beat than they used to be."

I replied lightly.

Compared to the first time we defeated them, the time it took us to defeat an S-rank Floor Boss was getting shorter and shorter.

My A-rank summons were also quite useful against the S-rank Floor Bosses.

Except for the Medals of the Floor Bosses, we sold everything else and earned a lot of money.

Our party had over 500,000 Gold coins.

At Cecile's suggestion, we decided to manage the Gold earned in the dungeon as a party.

Since our dungeon raids were mainly focused on collecting equipment and Stone Slabs, it amounted to a tremendous amount of money.

I asked the Adventurer's Guild to add B-rank magic stones to the once-every-five-days magic stone deal we had a little while ago.

Thanks to that, those transactions reached 14,000 Gold coins for the magic stones alone.

My friends and I took 100 Gold coins every month as our allowance as we all had miscellaneous expenses.

Kurena and Dogora used the money to eat food.

I used the money to eat sweets and fruits.

Merle sent some money home to her parents.

I wondered where Merle's parents lived, in the Bakius Empire.

In fact, they seemed to live in a village around the Imperial Capital of the Bakius Empire.

Our expenditure was high, but we just kept on accumulating Gold coins.

The equipment that my friends and I sold ranged from thousands to tens of thousands of Gold coins.

A Ring that could increase a status by 3,000 fetched more than 30,000 Gold coins at auction.

As we stood in line while conversing, the line moved quickly and we soon reached the 5th Floor.

We were teleported to the center of the large, dimly lit room and saw a light a little further away in front of us.

There was a cube floating there that would transfer us to the location of the Dungeon Boss.

"This way today."

"Ah."

I turned and started to walk towards the lights behind us.

Shortly after walking, I found a cube floating in front of the light.

"I am S503, the Iron System. Would you like to move to the Iron Room?'

"Yes."

When I responded, my vision changed.

We were in a large hall.

I looked around, ignoring the enemy in front of me.

(After all, this is a hall, but not a completely private room.)

Admiral Galara's party was able to escape from the Dungeon Boss.

Admiral Galara's party had taken on the Dungeon Boss.

It had been confirmed by Admiral Galara's subordinates.

They had defeated the Bronze, Iron, and Mithril Guardian Golems, got their Medals, and challenged the Dungeon Boss.

There, they were defeated, lost their friends but were able to successfully escape.

(The Death Zone has the same terrain even if one is sent there through different Floors. What if the place where the Dungeon Boss is, is the same? Let's assume for a moment that the Dungeon Boss is in a similar place, do we need to look for a cube to escape?)

I was determined to defeat the Dungeon Boss.

However, since there was no guarantee that we would be able to defeat it, it was my duty as the leader of the party to prepare for our retreat.

The walls of the high-ceilinged hall were connected to a number of passageways.

I assumed that we were in a small room in the labyrinth.

And somewhere in the labyrinth was a floating cube that would allow us to escape.

I used a summon to search for it.

I returned my gaze to the front.

Two Iron Golems reaching 100 meters stood side by side in front of us.

We were not near enough for the battle to begin.

"Now let's go, everyone!"

For the first time, we were going to face 2 S-rank enemies at the same time, so I tried raising our morale with a spirited shout.

While in formation, Merle called her Mithril Golem and closed the distance.

"..."

Once Merle was a certain distance from them, the two Iron Golems began to move.

One Golem had a spear while the other one had a sword and a shield.

"Both of them are armed! Allen, which one should we take down first?"

As I proceeded with my analysis, Dogora grabbed his weapon and shield and asked which one we were going to defeat first.

When I heard that there would be two Iron Golems, I decided to select who to target based on the situation.

"We'll take down the one with the spear, first. The shield one will take longer to defeat."

I was trying to determine from the enemy's skills and appearance what they were good at: long range, short range, defense, recovery, etc. I think it helped that they showed us their weapons.

We split into two groups. Dogora and Merle along with A-rank Dragons were tasked with holding the Iron Golem with shield back.

In the meantime, the rest of us would attack the spear Iron Golem at once.

(This is the first time we're dealing with two S-rank equivalents, but I guess it's not that bad. Can we beat them like this?)

The Golem seemed to only have physical attacks, as they were wielding a spear and a sword.

The shield Golem's attacks were also not very effective as A-rank Dragon just took the damage and then healed itself.

A-rank Dragon's attacks seemed to be ineffective to the point of being negligible though.

"Kya!"

"Sofie!"

"I'm... fine."

(Oops, that spear has an unexpectedly long range.)

The spear alone was nearly 100 meters long.

The spear Iron Golem's attack reached the rear guard where Sophie was.

"I'm sorry, Sophie. I'll decrease their accuracy. Come on out, Taco."

"You called me?"

A huge Kraken reaching 10 meters in length came out.

It was my A-rank Fish summon.

"Use [Smokescreen]!"

"Understood."

The A-rank Fish sprayed black ink from its mouth against the two Iron Golems.

(This will decrease their accuracy.)

"Are you getting through to them, Merus?"

"No problem. The spear one first, right?"

"Yes. Let's take down the spear before the shield."

Merus used his [Attribute Enhancement] on the spear Iron Golem.

"It's done. [Judgement Thunder]!"

Merus used his awakening skill [Judgment Thunder].

It had a cool down time of 1 day, and could no longer be used that day, but our priority was to reduce the number of enemies.

"You have defeated 1 Iron Golem. You have acquired 1,200,000,000 (1.2 billion) Experience."

And with Cecile's Lightning magic and Kurena's attacks, we easily defeated the spear Iron Golem.

(Over 1 billion in experience? Still, not that strong, huh?)

The shield Iron Golem reacted to the spear Iron Golem being defeated.

"[Repair]."

Then, the shield Iron Golem, which had been silent all along, chanted something, and the spear Iron Golem revived with its body completely repaired.

"Hey, hey, hey, Allen. It's back to normal!"

Cecile was upset.

The same was true for my other friends.

"I have never seen an enemy that could be revived."

"Why are you so calm about this!?"

(Don't slap me on the back.)

We had fought against magical beasts that called their friends or attacked in coordination, but we had never even heard of something that could be revived. {TLN: His summons.}

"This time we'll take down the shield one first! Dogora, Merle, block the spear Golem's movement."

"Oh!"

"Yeah, I get it!"

I decided to defeat the shield one first the second time.

Merus had already used his awakening skill, but we were able to defeat the shield Golem without much difficulty because of his [Attribute Enhancement].

"You have defeated 1 Iron Golem. You have acquired 1,200,000,000 (1.2 billion) Experience."

It took us more than 10 minutes to defeat the shield Iron Golem.

"[Repair]"

The shield Iron Golem that we had defeated revived as well.

"Wait! Hey!"

"Mm-hmm."

While Cecile was surprised behind me, I was thinking of a countermeasure.

Apparently, both Iron Golems could be revived.

(Well, how did Admiral Galara and his party beat these guys?)

Since we are in the middle of a battle, I tried to figure out how to defeat them as quickly as possible.

Aside from Kurena and Dogora in the vanguard, Sophie and the others in the rear guard wouldn't have been able to withstand a single attack.

In such a situation, the first thing I considered was how Admiral Galara's party managed to defeat the two Iron Golems with 20 Mithril Golems.

Frankly, the speed of revival was so fast that even if we were to defeat the two of them at the same time, they would be revived with some time difference.

(Perhaps distance, if not time?)

Perhaps there was a limit to the number of times they could be revived, but I was thinking of a way to defeat them efficiently.

I thought about how I would defeat them if I were Admiral Galara.

"Everybody run for the passage!"

"What? Allen, are we running away?"

Kurena, who did not expect to run away, shouted at me.

"Yes. Everyone dash to the passage!"

There were several passages in the large hall but we ran towards the nearest one.

The two Iron Golems chased after us in a grueling pursuit, but they were stopped by an A-rank Dragon.

My friends and I ran towards the passage while 2 A-rank Dragons, stalled the Iron Golems by using [Super Regeneration].

"Hey, the ceiling is so high in here, they can come in!"

"Yeah, they can."

I didn't have time to elaborate to Cecile that there was no point in running into the passage.

The status of the Iron Golem was quite high and they were fast.

"Sophie, ask Gnome to restrict the spear Iron Golem!"

"Yes."

Sophie used her Extra Skill [Great Spirit Manifestation] and the Great Spirit Gnome restricted the spear Iron Golem by forming a foothold of large rocks.

The Iron Golem was so huge that the foothold could only be solidified to about its waist level, but it was enough to stop its movement.

"Okay, then we're running away!"

We pulled the shield Iron Golem away from the spear Iron Golem and defeated it with the help of Merus' [Attribute Enhancement].

"You have defeated 1 Iron Golem. You have acquired 1,200,000,000 (1.2 billion) Experience."

"Hm, it isn't reviving now. I guess the Golems are too far away."

"I'm so impressed. How did you come up with a way to beat them so quickly?"

"Allen is awesome."

My friends were always surprised by what I did, but that day their reaction was quite loud.

"I'm used to it. It's been a while though, since I last did it."

I had fought against quite a few enemies who revived their partner in their previous life.

The only way to defeat them was by finding a way to stop their revival.

After saying so, my friends and I headed for the other Iron Golem.

My friends and I defeated it as well.

""You have defeated 1 Iron Golem. You have acquired 1,200,000,000 (1.2 billion) Experience."

And got experience again.

A Treasure Chest fell at the feet of the Iron Golem.

The Iron Golem dropped a Treasure Chest every time it was defeated.

We collect all the Treasure Chests.

The chests yielded 3 Mithril Golem Stone Slabs and 1 Ring with a 3000 status increase.

4 S-rank magic stones dropped as well.

A Treasure Chest appeared at the far end of the hall as well.

When we opened it, we found an Iron Medal.

And there was a cube floating in front of us.

"Allen, what are you thinking?"

While everyone was happy that we were able to successfully defeat the Iron Golem on our first try, I was thinking about what to do.

Dogora wondered what I was thinking and called out to me.

"No, these guys are experience. I finally found them!"

It was Allen's friends who thought, "Something is going to happen again."
