Jennifer nodded in approval about the profit the manager had earned, acknowledging his capabilities as she mumbled
"But where did they get these unique techniques from? They're definitely not from around here!"
All of the techniques sold by Jason were unique and different in comparison to most techniques the three races in Lanro had seen, and a few specific individuals would be able to make use of the techniques that had been auctioned off.
Some were born different than the norm and they were highly likely to be able to reap many benefits from techniques that were different than those anyone else was practicing.
Because of that, Jennifer had purchased three techniques, knowing that some of her cadets required techniques that were more suitable for them.
They were Variants, born with different cultivation veins than the usual ones, which made it more difficult for them to move specific parts of their body that were innately connected to different veins.
As such, some humans born on Manyr faced difficulties coping with mana cultivation veins because their bodies had been accustomed to being highly physical, or wisdom oriented.
Mystic energy, also called mana, focused on the energy field, and its cultivation, in addition to elemental affinities that could be comprehended and awakened.
The Tritans organisation had more than enough techniques, but all of them were similar, and not like Jason's that were different in their essence.
All seven techniques had been compiled by different races, and each of them focused on the special trait of their own race, instead of the certain norms as it was the case with the Devirs and Aeus.
They tried to construct every technique and make it usable for the Manyrs, despite not knowing what exactly they had to pay attention to.

Thus, the techniques shared by the Devirs and Aeus were sometimes not as potent as they ought to be.
What Jason had only found out recently, was that a few techniques he sold off, could also be used by individuals that cultivated with other energies than mana without being affected by unawakened cultivation veins.
This was interesting, and also the reason why the final price for the seven seemingly normal cultivation manuals was so high.
"210 large-sized Ascendion rank cultivation stones…that's…definitely not bad.'
Deducting the 20% fee, and the fact that he had already lent 100 cultivation stones from Jennifer, or to be precise the City lord, his profit decreased rapidly.
Nevertheless, he would still have a total of more than 70 large-scaled Ascendion rank cultivation stones left if he were to include his own funds.
That was more than he could have hoped for because he expected the average for the rather normal manuals to be at around 10 cultivation stones.
Yet, in the end, with several larger families and clans betting, the prices for all techniques had skyrocketed with a particular technique reaching the price of 55 large-sized Ascendion rank cultivation stones.
When Jason had heard this for the first time, he was shocked, but Jennifer, who had purchased the technique, was extremely overjoyed which was confusing.
"Just what is so special about that technique? Isn't it just a martial art technique that uses both the cultivated energy and life force…?"
window.pubfuturetag = window.pubfuturetag || [];window.pubfuturetag.push({unit: "64cc9e79c7059f003e4ad4b0", id: "pf-5109-1"})Initially, Jason had wanted to purchase and learn the martial art technique himself, but the downside of it had been too big to ignore.
He never wanted to learn a technique that used up his life force because it was simply too risky.
A single mistake could deprive him of his entire Life force, ending in a disastrous situation.
There were too many things he could make use of. Thus Jason didn't even think about it.
At the same time, another problem was that most people considered it extremely difficult to replenish their Life force.
However, Jennifer's commentary made Jason believe that he might have been wrong, which attracted his interest as it was simply logical.
"Even if you don't like techniques that use Life force, being able to defeat your opponent with a temporary improvement in your combat strength is nothing in comparison to being drained a little bit of Life force.
Furthermore, it's not difficult to replenish your life force, if you know-how, and it's even less problematic for those that cultivate in the path of Pryr!"
Nodding his head, Jason didn't say anything further. Instead, he silently watched the auction that continued without any issues.
After comparing the assumed final price written inside the small book Jennifer had given him with the real final price, Jason couldn't help but look at Jennifer with gleaming eyes.
As she had previously mentioned, Jennifer purchased all kinds of goods that were in high demand by other big families.
window.pubfuturetag = window.pubfuturetag || [];window.pubfuturetag.push({unit: "663633fa8ebf7442f0652b33", id: "pf-8817-1"})At the same time, she played around with those that wanted to seek revenge by preventing her from purchasing certain items. Instead, Jennifer used the very same items as bait, making others purchase them for an excessive price as she backed off at the perfect timing.
Amongst these baits were two of the exotic manuals he sold, which made Jason even wealthier than before.
One of the manuals was a body refinement manual that could be used by both Spiral and Maest Cultivators. Jason had only found it out when the Appraiser had evaluated his manuals.
Because of that, he now had a huge fortune with which he could purchase other things, even after the price for the Frozen Lunarium was deducted.
This made him happy, but on the other hand, Jason couldn't find anything suitable for his needs right now.
Even after reading through the tome, he was unable to find something he truly needed because he had everything!
Because of that, several hours had elapsed in which Artemis continued to nag him to give her the Frozen Lunarium, as she was desperate to consume it and didn't want to prevent wasting more time.
However, Jason didn't even move a single inch. He was not even thinking about giving Artemis the Frozen Lunarium right now because they were within a room full of Lanro city's elite prodigies.
There were even powerhouses from other cities who had paid a visit to the auction house just for today's event.
As such, it was not feasible for him to allow Artemis to emerge in front of him, just to devour the Frozen Lunarium before disappearing once again, returning to the soul world.
Thus, Artemis had to wait patiently, a thing she wasn't very good at.
In the end, Jason was able to calm down Artemis saying that it wouldn't take much longer, only to hear the beautiful auctioneer say something that confused him.
"My dear guests, now that we've reached the climax of today's event, I would like to show all of you the main attraction and highlight of the auction that everyone has been eagerly waiting for!"
While the others exclaimed loudly, cheering happily, Jason was oblivious to the main attraction because it was not mentioned in the book Jennifer had given him.
As such, he could only look at the stage, with confusion which was noticed by Jennifer, who smiled lightly.
"The auction house's main attraction is different every time an event is held and nobody knows what exactly the main attraction will be.
Even my master doesn't know it and she was only told that the main attraction would be extraordinary.
That's probably also the reason for so many affluent individuals from other cities to come over to Lanro city today!"
Jason just nodded his head before his attention returned back to the stage, where a covered glass box was brought up.
It was a big, long box and the moment he used his Emperor Eyes to take a glimpse at what was hidden within the seemingly normal glass box, a heavy headache overcame him.
'This concealment is tough,' Jason immediately thought, realising that even the glass box that held the main attraction was something he couldn't take lightly.
This caused him to smile, which only increased after he forcefully broke through the glass box's concealment by inserting a tremendous amount of mana into his eyes as faint droplets of blood trickled out of them.
"That's interesting!"
