Chapter 529: Repeat
While Charles was in shock, the airship shook violently and caused everyone in the compartment to move to and forth. If not for him holding on to the front seat, even he would've fallen right now.
Realizing the situation, he instantly activated his [Accelerate Thoughts] skill on himself and soon saw that everyone in the compartment started moving slowly.
'I've no time to waste. Genesis, connect to the 'Wisdom Link' and see if you can get any information about the Chaos Scroll.'
Just as he ordered Genesis, he noticed that the ship had already entered an invisible layer and furrowed.
At that moment, a list of notifications popped up in front of his eyes.
...
[System is connecting to the 'Wisdom Link!']
[Error! Error! Error!...]
[Unknown barrier detected!]
[Connection failed!]
...
As he saw the notifications, he couldn't help but click his tongue in annoyance.
'Tsk. I should've asked that question sooner.' He shook his head, sat comfortably on his seat, and thought about the previous incidents.
'That Professor is a dangerous man. But who is he? Why did the Destiny Conquerors members help Professor to assassinate Demigod Rafael? Also, how did I die earlier?' He froze for a moment and soon recalled the young man named Ezra.
'That loudmouth is the one who stabbed me in the back? But why didn't my prevision skill warn me? Wait. Was that due to the strange blue crystal? Possible. It seems the crystal nullified all kinds of prediction-related abilities and even fooled my danger sensing skill.' A grim look appeared on his face. Although he knew nothing about Professor or others' background, he could tell that they were powerful enough to kill a Demigod in a matter of seconds.
'I should change my plans a little and leave the city as soon as possible.' He thought to himself and soon saw the Floating City up in the sky through the window glass.
Then, he sat patiently in the same position, noticed that the airship descended towards a particular land in Underground District and landed next to a half-egg-shaped building.
Once the airship landed, he undid the seat belt and stood up along with other passengers.
Following that, he quietly moved towards the airship's exit, stepped down from it through the illusionary staircase, and soon entered the half-egg-shaped building. Following that, he didn't waste a single moment, walked into the long hallway, and soon entered a large hall with high ceilings.
It was the luggage counter.
But he didn't stop there, continued to move towards the next grand hall, and soon stopped in front of the security guards. Then, he took out his airship ticket, identification card, and a few other documents and gave them to the guards. He also took out his space ring, erased his soul imprint, and passed it to the nearby guard.
After a simple check-up, those security guards nodded their heads and let him walk outside.
Meanwhile, Charles hurriedly moved towards the airport's entrance and soon moved towards the farthest area where Jessie was standing there.
At that moment, she turned around and soon noticed his arrival.
Following that, she picked up her long gown with both hands, hurriedly moved towards him, and soon bowed her head.
"Greetings, Mr. Charles," She paused for a moment and then added.
"I already got out carriage ready at the parking lot. Shall we go now?"
'There is not even a slight change in her sentence.' Charles smiled and nodded. They entered the parking lot in two minutes, arrived near the luxurious carriage, and stepped in.
On the other hand, the coachman also started driving the carriage, moved out of the parking area, and soon went towards the main road.
In the meantime, Charles sat inside the carriage comfortably and listened to Jessie's introduction about the City of Miracles.
Even though he knew all the information, he didn't ruin Jessie's enthusiasm and patiently listened to what she said.
"The fourth and fifth districts located on the other side of the city and are under the control of Demigod Emerson-"
Before she could finish, Charles raised his hand and interrupted her.
Then, he opened the carriage door, stuck his head out, and spoke to Oliver in a calm tone.
"Go to the Merchants' Market through the Crystal Land road, Oliver. The road is blocked up ahead."
Jessie got stunned by his words and asked in confusion.
"W-What do you mean by that, Mr. Charles?"
Oliver also pulled the horse reins suddenly, drove the carriage towards the side road, and asked.
"Are you sure about that, Mister? It would take extra 10 minutes to get to Museum."
Meanwhile, Charles shook his head and spoke calmly.
"It's a little bit complicated to explain. But do as I say." His words were firm.
On the other hand, Jessie remembered her Teacher's future predicting ability and widened her eyes in surprise.
Without any delay, she nodded and spoke.
"Oliver, do as what he says."
"Yes, My Lady." Oliver nodded from the driver's seat, whipped the white horse, and drove the carriage again. But within a few seconds of travel, he pulled the reins a little, made a left turn, and moved through the shortcut road.
...
It was around 7.30 A.M.
A luxurious carriage arrived in front of a five-storied Museum building, and soon two people stepped down from it.
After the security check-up, Charles and Jessie entered the grand hall like before and moved towards the second floor without making any suspicious movements.
Around 7.45 A.M, Charles entered the particular room where the 'Draught of the Phoenix' potion was placed for exhibition and started doing his work.
Precisely five minutes later, he walked out of the room with the original potion, joined Jessie in the main hall, and left the Miracle Museum after a brief checking.
Charles also took out the potion bottle near the driver's seat and entered the carriage with Jessie.
Meanwhile, Oliver drove the carriage out of the Miracle Museum's compound and entered the Merchants' Market main road within a minute.
After that, the carriage drove on the dirt road quietly and soon entered the Underground District.
At that moment, Jessie opened the carriage gate and ordered.
"Oliver, take the Bronze Lane route."
"You think the road would still be blocked, My Lady? But isn't that Lane dangerous for travel?" Oliver asked from the driver's seat.
'Wow, they even repeating the same dialogue.' Charles felt that he was interacting with the NPC characters and showed an amusing smile.
"Obviously. But we don't have enough time-"
Before Jessie could finish her words, Charles shook his head and interrupted her.
"Even if the traffic on the main road is high, we have extra 15 minutes. Take the main road route this time."
"This time?" Jessie retracted her head, glanced at Charles in suspicion, and nodded half-heartedly.
"Take the main road route then." She said with a sigh.
'Why is he acting like he knew everything?' She muttered inwardly, sat comfortably on the front seat, and looked outside through the glass door.
