Chapter 364: Plan
While the power of bad luck influenced the whole Red Human city, Charles casually strolled on the street roads and stealthily released those Crimson Butterflies in different parts of the areas.
Now, his [Sleight of Mystery Hand] skill played a crucial role in this.
He continued to spread the Crimson Butterflies like a plague and let them roam freely.
As long as they come in contact with a Red Human, they would assimilate into his body.
But if that Red Human already had a Crimson Butterfly in his body, the Crimson Butterflies would avoid him and search for a new host.
Charles created these Butterflies based on similar life forms present in the Red City.
They were called Elemental Flies.
These insects would always come out at night and suck Red Humans' elemental energy when they were asleep.
They had similar traits as normal mosquitoes.
But unlike the mosquitoes, these Elemental Flies would only suck a bit of fire elemental energies from the hosts.
So, the Red Humans would never sense any itching sensation or pain.
Because of this, most of the Red Humans would never mind those insects' presence.
Even if they saw the insects moving next to them, they would brush them off and continue doing their work.
Many Crimson Butterflies came from ditches and alleys as Charles walked out of the street and moved towards different areas.
Although Red Humans were startled by the numbers, they didn't put too much thought into it and continued to do their work.
But Percy's men sensed something was amiss and hurriedly sent a report to their master.
In truth, Charles was waiting for their following action!
If he wanted to enter the Dungeon, he had to defeat or seal Adur.
Unfortunately, he was too weak to face that monster.
From the Holem's Crown's earlier words, he knew that man was not someone he should mess with.
That guy had more than one 'Divinity' and could defeat more than seven Rank-5 warlocks in a single battle.
Even if Charles weakened his 'Divine' strength, there would be a high chance that guy might have something up in his sleeves.
Otherwise, the Paragons would've long defeated him.
So, Charles had to make the Paragons believe that they had a better chance of defeating Adur.
He also wants to convert the whole Red Human citizens to firm believers of Fire Bird and weaken Adur!
But to achieve his goal, he needed the Paragons' help.
Unfortunately, they were a bunch of arrogant clowns.
They believe in bloodline strength supremacy and would never listen to a normal Red Human.
Even if he showed his strength, they would never treat him as their equal.
Instead, they would use commanding words and order him around like their own servants.
Charles would never lower his head to those arrogant clowns.
But now, his current action would startle them deeply.
After analyzing his actions, they would soon link him with the strange rumors and find out that 'Hanna' was the new Champion.
Then, they would inform their family heads, aka the remaining Rank-5 Powerhouses, about the new Champion's arrival and invite him personally.
That's where he would get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
But before going to meet them, Charles would give them hope.
'I will show the power of Incarnation and give everyone a scare. I will show them that the Guardian Deity is still alive!'
He would tempt them with devilish words and make them believe him completely.
Then, enslave the Rank-5 Powerhouses one by one!
That's where his [Curse of the Overlord] spell would come into play.
Although he didn't know how much it would be effective against a Rank-5 Warlocks, he vaguely felt that the chance of success would be based on the circumstances.
As long as he creates a believable circumstance, all those Rank-5 Warlocks would come under his control!
Once he managed to control them, he would wait for the perfect opportunity and let the Rank-5 Warlocks besiege Adur.
Meanwhile, he would sneak into the Sacred Cathedral and enter the Dungeon.
Whether the Rank-5 Warlocks manages to defeat Adur or not, he didn't care about the outcome.
These remaining Rank-5 Paragons were nothing but perfect scapegoats for his plan!
'But I've to be careful. That Adur might have already sensed something. It's better to do these works stealthily from tomorrow onwards.' He muttered inwardly and continued his work.
Charles moved to more than ten streets and spread more than three hundred thousand Crimson Butterflies by the end of the day!
After that, he made a few turns and went towards the rented house.
…
A Vera Household, Royal District, City of Red,
At that moment, a brown-haired guard in his late 30s arrived in front of the entrance and hurriedly went inside.
If this were everyday news, he would've moved to Butler Perry's house and give him a detailed report about the earlier incident.
Unfortunately, he had seen something absurd and knew that it was an urgent matter.
He walked towards the mansion building with hurried footsteps and soon arrived in front of the entrance door.
Then, he removed his leather shoes, wore clean ones which he took from the nearby rack, and walked in.
At that moment, the Vera household butler Percy also noticed his arrival and gave him a hand signal to stop.
He was a brown-haired middle-aged man, had a short beard, and appeared stern.
Upon seeing this, the brown-haired guard halted his footsteps, looked at the reception hall, and started searching for the third princess of Vera Household.
Soon, he saw a young woman seated on the sofa and grinned inwardly.
The young woman had long wavy hair, an oval face, elongated eyebrows, and appeared to be around 175 cm high.
Currently, she wore a gown-like dress and appeared simpler.
Her name was Scarlet Vera, and she was the third princess of the Vera Royal family!
Upon seeing her, the brown-haired guard got relieved inside.
'I won't miss this opportunity.'
The guard knew that he wouldn't even get a Crown if he reported this news to the butler!
Without any hesitation, he opened his mouth and spoke in a loud voice.
"I found something unusual about that young woman, Sir Percy!" He paused for a moment, glanced at Scarlet, and then added.
"I think that woman can predict others' future!"
Just as he finished his words, Scarlet suddenly stopped flipping the page, closed her book, and turned her gaze towards the brown-haired guard.
"You! Come here." She pointed her forefinger at him and ordered.
Meanwhile, the brown-haired guard ran towards her without showing any etiquette and soon arrived in front of her.
"Tell me more about it. Why did you believe that she can predict others' future?" Scarlet leaned her back against the sofa and asked in a cold tone.
On the other hand, the brown-haired guard nodded his head and explained everything in a detailed manner.
Scarlet's expression soon turned solemn as the guard continued to talk.
The more she listened to his words, the more serious she became.
By the time he ended his talk, she almost lost her composure!
'T-This… There is a high chance that she might be the new Champion! Damn, this involves the survival of all the Paragons! I need to discuss with my father.' She stood up from the sofa and spoke.
"Go back and tell no one about what you saw earlier. Also, inform the same to your colleagues."
Saying so, she turned around and hurriedly ran towards the spiral staircase on the right side.
