Sophomore area.

It snowed for a while, but fortunately, no one was hit.

When it began to snow, students of Class 2-0 were holding an encore of the photo book in the gym.

“Weather forecast said it’ll be sunny today though”

“The Meteorological Administration tricked me… If I knew this would happen, I would’ve brought a waterproof camera pack…”

“Hey, the website won’t open. Communication’s off.”

“…That snow looks weird. I don’t think it’s regular snow.”

“Whatever it is, we can’t let it hit Professor Jegal!”

“Guys, gather your energy waves!”

Celebrating Christmas Eve, the giant statue of Jegal dressed in Santa clothes was supposed to welcome visitors.

At this rate, Jegal’s Santa suit was going to be soaking wet.

Class 2-0 joined forces to protect the giant Jegal statue.

The sky was covered with energy waves shot by them.

“Let’s hurry and move Professor Jegal into the exhibition hall!”

“Use your light skill, Wangchan-ah.”

While the students were moving the statue to the exhibition hall, the snow suddenly stopped.

To be exact, a space the color of Yong Jegun’s energy waves covered the entire school, protecting it from snow.

Meanwhile, while Yeom Junyeol was preparing for the planetarium of Class 2-1, he found the space created by Yong Jegun.

‘It’s Jegun hyung’s power! This amount of power means he used the Cintamani at least…’

Disconnected communication signal, sudden snow, and Yong Jegun’s space.

Yeom Junyeol knew that something unusual was happening.

His intuition soon became a reality.

“What’s that? No one dressed up among us, right?”

“Check them out with your insight skills!”

“…They’re enemies! More than five of them are headed here!”

When Jung Haeon used her insight skill and saw the enemies, the students took out their weapon item cards in unison and actualized them.

“Stop the enemies from entering the exhibition hall! The kids who attacked the otherworld last time will deal with the enemies, and the defense team will close the exhibition hall!”

Under Geum Chansol’s direction, students of Class 2-0 immediately moved.

After spending two years, the class’ teamwork shone.

While the students responded, those who were late to grasp the situation came out and prepared for battle.

Yeom Junyeol swept through the building thoroughly to make sure no students were isolated.

‘The Class Zero kids can deal with those enemies. I’ll leave the battle to them and search for students first!’

Yeom Junyeol examined the enemies he saw out of the window while walking through the sophomore building.

The enemies had things in common on the surface.

White fur that looks strong against the cold.

Claws that allow them to move on frozen ground without slipping.

Sensitive to sound and smell.

The enemies were fit for the situation where it was snowing in Eungwang High.

‘They would’ve been in such a huge advantage if it snowed. Was this whole thing planned?’

It was as if the enemies were spawned with the assumption that it would snow in Eungwang High.

Some students felt the unusual energy in the snow, and if that snow had a debuff effect, the battle would’ve turned very unfavorable.

‘There must be a reason why Jegun hyung blocked the snow. We should be careful!’

Although he was worried about Yong Jegun, Yeom Junyeol decided to prioritize evacuating the students.

It was difficult to determine Yong Jegun’s location since the communication signal was off, but even if Yong Jegun were in danger, it was likely that Yeom Junyeol couldn’t do much to help.

He judged coldly, but Yeom Junyeol couldn’t help but be worried.

‘Jegun hyung, the student association, the seniors and juniors, the teachers… And my teacher, Euishin. I have to keep everyone safe!’

After confirming that there were no people left inside the sophomore building, Yeom Junyeol went outside.

Then, a school broadcast was heard.

[This is an announcement from the Student Association. Several enemies have appeared on campus. All students and faculty players are directed to draw their weapons.]

It was Do Wonwoo’s voice.

Noise was mixed in with the broadcast, but Do WOnwoo’s clear voice resonated well throughout the school.

“It’s the student association!”

“Aren’t devices unusable right now?”

“The school’s broadcast line seems to be safe. The sound quality is bad, so I guess it’s the line used in the past.”

Do Wonwoo’s voice was inexplicably calm.

He delivered the necessary information in a calm tone that made the listeners feel safe.

[It’s currently impossible to communicate through devices and satellite information is unreachable. We cannot go outside due to a fault in the school’s boundary. If you are headed toward the entrance, please change your route immediately.]

The content of the message could make anyone panic, but the students remained calm.

Everyone thought it was worth fighting against enemies with all their might.

Students and faculty members trusted Student Representative Do Wonwoo.

Do Wonwoo is an excellent player, never losing the top spot in his class.

As the student representative, he’s never disappointed the students.

He quickly grasped the situation and revived the school line as he gave a strong sense of reliability from the start of his broadcast.

[Enemies with advanced hearing and smell have been identified. Please evacuate to the central area as soon as possible as there’s a possibility that you will be found even if you are hiding inside a building. However, if you judge that you can stay in your location for at most another day, please stay there.]

The sophomore students were ready to move.

They have enough manpower here now, but the sophomore building wasn’t fit for evacuation.

They’re in a stable situation now, but there’s a high possibility that the front lines would collapse if a large troop of enemies attacked.

The students lined up to head to the central area just as Do Wonwoo announced.

Some students tried to take out their air boards, but they stopped after hearing the next words in the announcement.

[It’s recommended to move in units of at least two attack squads. Please refrain from using air boards as there are flying enemies roaming around.]

It’s incredibly difficult to defend and attack while riding an air board.

It was more exhausting and there’s a high risk of being shot down than when fighting on the ground.

[The next broadcast is scheduled in an hour. I will deliver urgent information right away. I wish all players well. That is all.]

With a fizzling noise, the broadcast ended.

Yeom Junyeol felt proud as he reflected on the contents of the broadcast.

‘As expected of Wonwoo hyung. I want to be that kind of student representative…!’

Only Class 2-0 was in school, so the attack team was organized largely by them.

From the remaining sophomore students, selected scouts were in charge of the rear.

Yeom Junyeol claimed a dangerous role.

“I’ll be at the back. I can cope with rear attacks with my light skill, and even if I’m behind, I can quickly catch up through Hongryong.”

After Yeom Junyeol spoke, Ma Jinseung raised his hand.

Even in this situation, Ma Jinseung had a burning sense of rivalry against Yeom Junyeol.

“I’ll stay at the back too!”

“But your skills don’t match.”

“That’s why I should be at the back. What if something that fire can’t deal with comes?”

“But you said you can’t use your light skill well yet.”

“Gah…!”

Ma Jinseung was completely disputed by Geum Chansol and Wang Chansol.

Yeom Junyeol tried to sigh, but he didn’t want to waste more time.

This was no time for measly rivalry.

“Go where you’re comfortable. It doesn’t make a big difference whether Jinseung is at the back or not. Let’s hurry up.”

Fwaaaa!

Yeom Junyeol used his light skill, Summoning Hongryong.

Everyone who saw the fiery energy waves of Hongryong were lost in admiration.

Hongryong, who was bigger than Ma Jinseung remembers, glared at him once when he passed by.

Ma Jinseung froze for a moment as he realized Yeom Junyeol’s growth, but he clenched his teeth and walked alongside Hongryong.

In the meantime, Yeom Junyeol completely erased Ma Jinseung from his head and was lost in thought for something else.

‘We could check the entire Eungwang High with Dongha hyung’s light skill. Did he say he was busy today?’

When the group of sophomores started heading to the central area…

Someone popped up on the roof of the sophomore building.

No one seemed to feel their presence as no one looked up at the rooftop.

Someone with an umbrella was looking at Hongryong.

***

Moving to the central area and knocking down a few enemies, I heard the broadcast announcement by Do Wonwoo.

Other than the missing “Watch out from the snow,” his announcement wasn’t very different from what he said in PMH.

Though it felt new when he said the words.

I nodded at Do Wonwoo’s coherent and firm words.

“It’s a broadcast…”

“It’s just as Euishin said! Do Wonwoo sunbaenim did a broadcast.”

“Hey, don’t talk! I see enemies over there!”

Enemy attacks didn’t stop during the broadcast.

While Saeum of April covered his mouth, Maeng Hyodon dug his fist into the enemy’s abdomen.

Min Geurin kicked and jumped in sync.

Hit! Pak! Fwoo!

Two strikes were heard almost simultaneously.

The enemy was hit in the back and abdomen at the same time.

While it was stumbling, Maeng Hyodon kicked it with his right foot and completely broke the enemy’s balance.

Thud!

The floor rang with a heavy sound when the enemy collapsed.

It must’ve weighed more than it looks.

I looked at the enemy and went for the sure kill.

Bang! Baang!

The enemy, who was directly hit by a bullet, wriggled before its movement completely stopped.

Seeing the gun in my hand, Maeng Hyodon asked.

“Why the gun, VP?”

“It consumes less energy waves.”

“…I guess you’d have to use a lot of your energy waves then.”

Maeng Hyodon has been suspicious of me since earlier.

Did it bother him that I refused to let him come with me to the residential area?

Perhaps feeling the disturbing atmosphere, Saeum of April quickly intervened.

“Ah, that. When we induced the evacuation earlier. Some people were alone in isolated areas, but fortunately, they seem to have joined the Student Council people!”

Saeum of April can somewhat sense people while his King’s Word light skill is activated.

To change the subject, I added a word to explain the situation.

“It’s probably because of the event prepared by the Student Council. There are a lot of people who stay alone for research, experiment, papers, and work even on Christmas. The students dressed up as Satna were going to distribute gifts to them.”

Maeng Hyodon had a how-did-you-know-that expression on his face.

However, before Maeng Hyodon said anything, someone else intervened.

“Is that why you stopped by the Student Council room earlier, Jo Euishin?”

I knew that the freshmen students were approaching, but I didn’t know that it would be Yoo Sanghoon and his dual shield standing in the front.

I thought it would be Ahn Dain to take the lead.

Yoo Sanghoon must’ve been in front intending to become the class’ shield, but it was strange that I couldn’t see Ahn Dain anywhere.

‘Don’t tell me Ahn Dain is…’

Not seeing Ahn Dain, Saeum of April verbalized the question.

“Huh? Where’s Dain?”

As if trying to test my reaction, Yoo Sanghoon stared right at me when he replied.

“She’s looking for our homeroom teacher.”
