Mok Wooram’s words sparked something in my mind.

‘Right, the young Jared once made headlines.’

Foreigners who were integrated and adapted well in Korea often gain popularity, and Jared was one of them.

Many people liked Jared Lee, a man who spoke more proper Korean than most Koreans and someone who supported Kwon Jein like a sky.

As he became popular, some people looked into Jared Lee’s past.

One of the fruits of that investigation was a photo of Jared Lee before he became part of the Lake of Eternity.

He looks more mature now, but there was another difference.

‘Those guys look similar to the young Jared Lee. But they look younger than that picture.’

Jared Lee, in his appearance from when he was a teen model.

The men before us, in contrast, have the look of a modest mercenary in action movies.

In short, his appearance became quite rough over time.

Drrr…

As soon as Mok Wooram named Jared Lee, the attackers began to resist.

They glared at Mok Wooram with red eyes as they moved their hands.

‘They’re really professional players. I can’t believe they can still move after being bound by Do Wonwoo’s chains.’

Unlike Do Sihoo, Do Wonwoo’s chain cannot seal energy waves.

However, Do Wonwoo’s was much stronger.

Even senior knights have to twist their wrists and chew up these chains to get out.

“Resisting will only exhaust you.”

<Using character’s skill, Partial Discharge>

Jwiiiik!

“…!”

“…!”

I launched electricity strong enough for the attackers, but no screams were heard.

They just stopped moving.

One of the attackers succeeded in summoning a tamed enemy.

<Warning, enemy approaching.>

Screech!

System messages warning of approaching enemies and screeches were heard almost at the same time.

Blood was dripping from one of the attackers’ mouths, perhaps from forcing his energy waves to summon an enemy.

They forcibly circulated energy waves to call for enemies while they hadn’t fainted yet.

They succeeded in summoning two.

And those enemies weren’t aiming for me but for Mok Wooram.

‘They’re going after Mok Wooram until the end!’

A fierce reaction from the attackers at Mok Wooram’s mention of Jared Lee’s name.

They felt the will to shut Mok Wooram’s mouth by killing him.

It’s clear now that Jared Lee was involved for some reason in why these attackers were after Mok Wooram.

The enemies summoned were from their last breaths, but it wouldn’t be long before they were gone.

As I contemplated whether to use Saeum of April’s wind skill or hold them with an iron chain, Mok Wooram took charge.

“Leave this to me!”

Da-dak!

I tried to stop Mok Wooram, but he was already within range of the enemy.

It’s a wonder how he could move so lightly while holding a large combat axe.

Mok Wooram narrowed the distance at once.

In the blink of an eye, the blade of his axe penetrated the enemy’s neck.

Rip!

Without a scream, fluids flowed out of the enemy’s body.

Mok Wooram jumped from a wall and landed behind the wriggling enemy.

“I aimed at the part where the sound rang the most. It was noisy.”

It’s not easy to grasp where this bizarre enemy’s vital point was.

Mok Wooram seemed to have found it based on the sound.

The energy violin craftsman seemed to have excellent hearing ability.

‘I don’t think it’s just hearing.’

A single stroke from Mok Wooram ripped open the enemy’s body.

Combat sense, power, speed.

Every aspect was high class.

It was impressive seeing him jump off, slash an enemy, and land again while he wielded his battle axe.

And he did it all without losing a breath.

When he was running away from the attackers, I thought he could do better than he did.

However, now that he’s acting with the aim of subjugation, his true self was more clearly revealed.

‘…How on earth did Bang Yoonseob get rid of Mok Wooram?’

I wondered when I saw Mok Wooram overpower two enemies in an instant.

Mok Wooram and Bang Yoonseob didn’t have a confrontation.

Bang Yoonseob only succeeded in running away, but there was something that Mok Wooram said that stayed on my mind.

— Bang Yoonseob’s skills have increased significantly all of a sudden. I couldn't handle it. Professor Tak Geosan seems to think that Bang Yoonseob is doing some sort of special training at least…

I didn’t understand why Mok Wooram couldn’t handle Bang Yoonseob.

Not only does he fight well, but he’s incredibly fast and agile.

The head of the tiger clan even recognizes him as a spiral-wall-climbing master.

Questions about Bang Yoonseob soared, but I decided to resolve the problem at hand first.

‘We got important information so I better knock these guys out.’

I kept them alive because I thought of drawing some information from them.

I got what I wanted when they reacted violently at the mention of Jared Lee’s name, so there’s no reason to keep them awake now.

I raised electricity outputs just before the point where they’d burn.

Jiiiik!

<Using character’s skill, Partial Discharge>

By the time the electricity stopped, Mok Wooram also completely extinguished the enemies.

Just in time, the user of the taming skill fainted and the supply of energy waves to the tamed enemy was cut off.

“Everyone fainted. They got hit by powerful electricity, and their skin and insides should be a little burnt so they won’t be waking up soon.”

Mok Wooram spoke after confirming that the enemies’ bodies disappeared and the attackers passed out.

He looked around as if to make sure no one was listening.

“…You’re the first person whose appearance I can’t recognize.”

That’s because I’m borrowing Jeon Muyeong’s appearance.

I used him so that I could hide myself.

“But you use a power similar to Saeum. Though yours is much more powerful. Not just that, but you used a power similar to the previous Eungwang High student representative.”

Mok Wooram’s analysis was sharp.

Has he seen Do Wonwoo use his power before?

Saeum’s is still okay, but it’s a bit hard to cover up if Do Wonwoo’s name gets involved.

Do Wonwoo is the best student at Eungwang High, and he’s a player from a chaebol family.

Since he received public attention, it’s widely known what kind of abilities he has.

“You use the same ability as Do Wonwoo sunbaenim. Not just the skill, even the light skill.:

Mok Wooram is aware of Do Wonwoo’s abilities.

Rumors spread of the pushover from the freshman Class Zero and there were seniors, especially from Jiikhoe, who defended Mok Wooram from malicious merchants.

Maybe Do Wonwoo helped him once too.

“It may not be the exact same, but it’s very similar. But we happen to have someone in our class that is known to use other people’s light skills.”

Judging from the flow of the conversation, I could guess what would the next words be.

I tried to cover Mok Wooram’s mouth in a hurry, but the mere thought of the word distracted me.

“The one who can summon a dragon just like Yeom Junyeol sunbaenim. The Red Wall Thief.”

That Word came up!

I didn’t want him to say that word with such a serious face.

We were still inside Hwang Jiho’s boundary, but I suddenly felt cold.

My fingers shriveled and trembled, and I had to give everything I got to fix them.

When I fell silent, Mok Wooram asked with his eyes dropped.

“…Are you the Vice President?”

I was prepared for the danger of having my identity revealed while carrying out this operation.

Mok Wooram witnessed Kwon Lena and me talking on the dorm's roof and overheard that I was that word.

In this situation, I had to act with Mok Wooram, and in front of him.

I made public what abilities I used.

‘Mok Wooram’s a pushover but he’s not dumb. I knew he could deduce who I am.’

It was inevitable.

I had to use my powers to protect Mok Wooram, catch the attackers, and extract information.

The available usage duration for Time Without Shadows was very short, and when used in combination with other abilities, the consumption of energy waves is excessively high.

It was challenging to catch information if I continued to hide, and it was difficult to control Mok Wooram’s behavior.

The variables increased the risks.

‘I think Mok Wooram will believe it if I say no.’

If I don’t admit it, maybe the pushover will believe it, or he’d just pretend not to know.

But somehow, I didn’t want to lie to my classmate.

There’s a difference between hiding the truth and outright lying.

Is it better to not say anything?

‘…No, considering the situation, it’s better to tell Mok Wooram.’

Mok Wooram was being threatened by the world’s top ten professional player team.

I don’t know how they’ll try to assassinate him in the future.

I thought it would be better to not have Mok Wooram confused by ambiguous information.

It may be dangerous in itself for him to know who I am, but he’s already in enough danger anyway.

I decided to tell him.

“You’re right.”

I disabled my Player Identity skill and removed my crow mask, revealing myself, Jo EUishin.

Mok Wooram’s reasoning was spot on, but when he saw me, his eyes still opened wide.

“Vice pres…”

And then, someone came up the stairs as if they were waiting.

“Well thought out, Jo Euishin.”

Hwang Jiho, wearing a shirt with the —.— emoticon.

He moved when the attackers completely fainted.

“I can’t believe you revealed your identity. You’ve made a big decision.”

Rather than revealing my identity, it’s more accurate to say that Mok Wooram successfully figured it out.

I only confirmed it.

Hwang Jiho looked very happy.

Is it that pleasurable for him to deal with the Oath of the Three Knights?

“I’ve got my men on standby. They’ll take these people.”

“…So Jiho works with the Red Wall Thief too.”

“Hahahaha! That’s right.”

My fists curled tight at the mention of that word.

I felt the old man’s gaze on my clenched hand, so I decided to change the subject right away.

“…Let’s go back to treasure hunting. The picnic isn’t over yet.”

I was concerned about the Grand Cross being dealt with by Seodol and Yong Jegun, but I can’t make that obvious here.

The first goal of securing Mok Wooram’s safety was accomplished.

I don’t want to put him in danger again.

Mok Wooram looked at me and Hwang Jiho with confused eyes, but he soon bowed his head.

The good-natured Mok Wooram had a pushover-like smile.

“Thank you, Vice President and Jiho. You saved me again.”

I don’t think he’s figured out exactly what happened yet, but Mok Wooram thanked me and Hwang Jiho.

While we went down the stairs, men in suits from the Tiger Clan locked the attackers in large metal carriers.

But none of us paid much attention to that.

I just listened to Mok Wooram’s pushover-like remarks.

“I’ll give you all the treasures you’re looking for from now on! Oh, I found a good souvenir shop on the first floor and…”

Despite the threat of assassination, Mok Wooram’s nature doesn’t seem to change.
