Before walking over to the closing ceremony, the cheering squad changed their uniforms.
All the members who planned and implemented cheering strategies for the whole sports exchange event were exhausted.
Nevertheless, everyone looked upbeat.
There’s a feeling of regret, but it was more rewarding and fulfilling.
Yoo Sanghee was no exception.
She had the happiest face in the whole second semester so far.
‘That idiot Sanghoon is the MVP… Twice!’
All three rounds of the basketball game were great, but the last one was the best.
It was a little awkward for her to openly say that she was happy that Yoo Sanghoon beat Do Sihoo’s defense though.
Yoo Sanghee’s little brother has gotten less cute since his hair got thicker and his skills and energy wave got better.
It was completely different from the time when he was young and sick, waiting endlessly for Yoo Sanghee’s visit him in the hospital.
‘I can’t even imagine it now. That shouldn’t happen again… I hope this idiot continues to live well and play basketball well.’
Yoo Sanghoon suffered from a strange disease when he was young and he couldn’t move properly, let alone play basketball, his favorite sport.
Yoo Sanghee had her healing powers ever since she was a child, but it wasn’t very helpful to her younger brother’s struggle against the disease since she couldn’t use her light skill yet.
Although Yoo Sanghoon has become healthy ever since he gained his skills, Yoo Sanghee’s heart is pained every time she thinks of the time her brother was sick.
That’s why she was enraged when she learned that Yoo Sanghoon was attacked by a royal lineage’s authority during his entrance exam.
‘He was a sick idiot, but he freaks out easily if he gets hurt.’
When she saw Yoo Sanghoon bleeding during the first basketball game, she was so upset that she wanted to pulverize the opponent’s elbow.
She’s particularly enraged though whenever she thinks of the trash that is Son Minki.
‘Come to think of it, it’s been a while since I replied to him. Hmm… Should I play with him some more?’
Recalling the dark past made her stress pile up.
She opened her device and thought about what she should say to Son Minki, but her face stiffened when she saw the newly arrived message.
The sender was the director of the TC Laboratory.
“Sanghee unnie.”
Yoo Sanghee looked up upon hearing Ahn Dain’s voice.
Yoo Sanghee cared for and treated all her juniors in the student association well, especially Ahn Dain who was a class executive in Yoo Sanghoon’s class.
“Are the freshmen all ready?”
“Yes, they’re heading out of the gym now. The air shuttle will arrive soon.”
“Alright.”
It seems like she’s spaced out longer than she thought.
She felt sorry for making her juniors wait.
Yoo Sanghee sighed and walked down the hallway in front of the waiting room and toward the entrance.
After a few steps, Ahn Dain asked something cautiously.’
“Uhm, hey Sanghee unnie… Did you have a fight with Do Wonwoo sunbaenim?”
“Hmm? Wonwoo? No.”
Far from having a fight, she doesn’t even remember interacting with Do Wonwoo today.
Yoo Sanghee tried to recall it.
‘Was it during the first basketball match? Wonwoo left because he said he and Sihoo had something to talk about.’
She remembers telling Do Wonwoo that Do Sihoo might be too tired from the game to talk with him, especially since they lost that match.
“Did Wonwoo do something again?”
“No… it’s the opposite.”
The opposite of doing something?
Then Do Wonwoo didn’t do anything?
‘Right, Wonwoo wasn’t disgusting today.’
During the sports exchange exhibition, Do Wonwoo, who was continuously concerned about Yoo Sanghee’s health and rest than their other colleagues and juniors, was quite unbearable.
Ji Myungsoo, the vice president of the student association and current leader of the cheering squad, was usually bright and happy.
He was the only guy that interacted with Do Wonwoo today.
Reflecting on Ahn Dain’s words, Yoo Sanghee realized that Do Wonwoo was less unbearable yesterday and today.
She smiled automatically at the thought that her unseemly childhood friend is finally maturing.
“Wonwoo was a bit quiet today.”
“…”
Ahn Dain tried to think of a proper reply, but she couldn’t answer and just gave a very small nod.
Ahn Dain seems to be worried about Do Wonwoo’s rapidly changing attitude, but Yoo Sanghee’s mind was lightened now that she has one less thing to worry about.
“Next week is the election period. Since it’s almost the end of his term, maybe he’s just presenting himself like an honorable student representative?”
The topic of the conversation shifted to the student elections.
Before they knew it, Do Wonwoo was pushed out of the center of their attention, and the names Yeom Junyeol and Kwak Gyungu were instead mentioned.
“I’m relieved if Junyeol serves as the student representative. Junyeol’s busy with extracurricular activities, but with Gyungu’s support, they’ll do the student association’s job well. I believe Junyeol would be a much better representative than Wonwoo.”
“I think Yeom Junyeol sunbaenim would be a good representative.”
Even as they were talking about something else, Yoo Sanghee was still bothered about the message that she hasn’t checked yet.
Yoo Sanghee’s helpless past was still holding her back.
The feeling of uneasiness from the piled messages and mail was bothering her, but she still felt strangely refreshed.
‘…I feel like everything’s alright whenever Dain is near me.’
She tried to eliminate the thought since it was like treating her junior like someone that can make her feel better when she wants to, but strange enough, her mood was really up whenever she was with her.
Whoosh.
For a moment, Yoo Sanghee’s long hair was softly blown by the wind.
Akea, the God of Healing, who gave Yoo Sanghee her light skill and her order, moved her energy wave to create a small breeze of wind.
‘Akea-nim…?’
She wondered why Akea suddenly made her presence known.
Even so, she continued speaking with Ahn Dain.

Eungwang Stadium, where the closing ceremony will be held.
We reunited with the other kids who watched the ice hockey game and headed to our seats.
While moving to their seats, everyone talked enthusiastically about the game that they watched.
There seems to be an incident in the ice hockey game where the game had to be suspended.
During the game, the puck flew over the fence and toward the audience, flying toward Song Daesok’s head.
“The players hit the puck almost at the same time, but one hockey stick couldn’t endure the impact and broke. Because of that, I think the other player miscalculated their aim and strength.”
“I think it was Jiho who noticed it first. I think he tried to catch the puck with his fingers, but he left it alone until the last moment.”
Mok Wooram seemed to understand what happened.
I haven’t seen Mok Wooram’s great abilities yet, but I think he’s the type of guy who can pass Eungwang High’s interview process by just blurting out some nonsense.
All eyes were on Jiho because of Mok Wooram’s revelation.
“Hahaha! I was just testing how good he was.”
That old man almost let my playable character get hurt, and he’s passing it off as just ‘testing’ him?
Well, it was just a puck and Song Daesok could’ve caught it on his own.
“So, what happened? Is anyone hurt? Daesok, are you okay?”
“I didn’t get hit. But because of that stupid bastard, Geurin is…”
“…I wasn’t hurt!”
“Ah, I will explain.”
With Kim Yuri’s question, Song Daesok and Min Geurin got immersed in their own world so Saeum of April took the liberty to explain on behalf of the two.
According to him, before Song Daesok could grab the puck, Min Geurin stood up from her seat like lightning and kicked the puck away.
He said the kick was so powerful that the game had to be temporarily stopped until they could recover the puck.
Min Geurin’s powerful kick actually buried the puck deep into the ice rink, but Song Daesok was more worried about her foot than anything else.
“Wow, here’s the video of Geurin!”
“Let’s watch it together!”
“…Do we really need to watch it here?”
Min Geurin lightly protested, but a hologram showing the video was already floated.
Everyone was amazed by Min Geurin’s movement.
At the end of the video, the puck stuck in the ice rink was zoomed in, but no one was paying attention at that point.
Well, it’s only natural for my playable character to show such a perfect kick.
“Excellent. Now that I’ve reviewed it, there are no unnecessary movements at all.”
“Wow, that’s awesome. It’s so fast.”
“Geurin, when you kicked…”
Hani admired Min Geurin’s kick and asked several questions about how to control energy waves when kicking.
It was a peaceful sight as always for our Class Zero.
“I’m glad everyone’s safe. Let’s go and sit down now!”
Kim Yuri led us with a relieved face.
While walking, the other kids asked if Hwang Jiho and I were leaving again to do some newspaper department duties.
There was better filming and broadcasting equipment set up this time, and there was no attack from the Demon Race, so we’re staying with the other kids.
“Then you’re watching the ceremony with us until the end?”
“Yeah. The best scene from the opening ceremony was filmed by a senior newspaper department member with a drone, so they decided to go with that.”
Saeum openly rejoiced and talked excitedly about the schedule of events for the closing ceremony.
Although there won’t be a mythical performance this time, the closing ceremony was set to be a grand event.
The closing ceremony began with the performance of the Eungwang High Orchestra.
“Will Kwon Jein sunbaenim make an appearance here?”
Kwon Lena didn’t answer right away when Hani asked.
Kwon Lena’s face looked blank, even fatigued.
‘The kids who went to the ice hockey game drew lots for their seating arrangement. In Min Geurin’s video, Lena was seated next to Saeum. Is that the reason?’
I called on Kwon Lena before Hani spoke again.
“I think she’s asking you.”
“Hm? Oh… Sorry, did you call me?”
Lena belatedly answered Hani’s question.
“Sunbaenim only helped them prepare for the performance. Since the sports exchange events are supposed to focus on students, she wanted to let the students do all the performances.”
Kwon Lena kindly explained it.
As the performance continued, the cheering squad and the athletes appeared.
Unlike the opening ceremony where the teams from both schools entered on separate sides, everyone entered side by side this time.
Although it looked a bit disorderly since the athletes and the cheering squad were mixed in together, the spirit of camaraderie looked nice.
Everyone looked closer to each other after all the games.
At the end of the closing ceremony, some fancy fireworks and firecrackers were launched, all personally bought by Hwang Jiho.
The school heads and officials in the VIP seats shook hands under the colorful fireworks decorating the Eungwang Stadium, while the players and cheering squads hugged each other and gave high fives.
It was time to leave the stadium with all the other kids as we enjoyed the afterglow of the festive atmosphere.
“We’re going to be busy next week. Are you all ready?”
“Ah, are you talking about the student elections?”
Before we parted ways, Kim Yuri mentioned the thing that everyone tried to push out of their minds.
“The midterms are coming up soon.”
