[Replay]

Be able to view the future and records engraved in the game dimension as reproduced into dreams.

(Stage 1)

There were more than one or two things mentioned in the explanation of the Replay function.

The most noticeable thing, though, was its similarity to my light skill Player Identity.

<Viewing skill details of Light Skill ‘Player Identity’>

[Player Identity]

Reproduces the future from the game dimension.

The new feature of Replay would allow me to access transcendent information.

And my light skill Player Identity.

They were quite similar except for the last part.

‘Using the Player Identity light skill allows me to use my playable characters’ abilities in real life and real-time. Replay would only be happening in dreams… What could it reproduce? And it says ‘Stage 1’. It’s not measured in levels?’

I’m at a loss at this point.

If the Replay function would allow me to view things in the form of dreams…

But I am a person who doesn’t dream.

Would that mean I won’t be able to use it?

‘Ah, I should try it anyway.’

I doubted that I could use the function, but I decided to try it out.

When I activated the function, another blue window system appeared.

What was displayed on the window was a list of the people I met in this world.

The first on the list was the first guy who talked to me, Yoo Sanghoon.

Next were Son Minki and Jang Namwook.

And then there was Kim Shinrok.

Unlike in the game, the White Tiger who I saw in the gym.

Jegal who led me to the hospital, and Hong Gyubin and Yoo Sanghee who I met there.

The Yellow Tiger who I met in the form of Hwang Jiho in the Silver Hall, along with his secretary.

No medical staff or other people I saw in the hospital appeared on the list.

‘Looks like the list is arranged in the order in which I met the characters. Ah, and only the characters that appear in the game are listed here.’

In the game, Yoo Sanghoon, Jang Namwook, Son Minki, and Kim Shinrok died at the tutorial level, but they surely appeared inside the game.

Although Hong Gyubin and the masked secretary had very little role in the game, they were still listed.

‘Let’s try it out.’

Although there wasn’t a warning window similar to the communication skill, I decided to use the function in bed just in case I faint.

‘The description says the function would allow me to view the future and records in the game dimension.’

Then it would be better to choose a character that I don’t know very well.

The first target I chose was Hwang Jiho.

‘If the Replay function works, I’d probably have a clue to how Hwang Jiho can be killed.’

All Hwang Jiho’s alter egos were integrated into the name Yellow Tiger.

When I chose his name from the list…

<Not available at the current stage>

An error message came up.

Was the restriction referring to the stage that appeared in the description?

‘I don’t know which characters are restricted though…’

After much consideration, I chose Yoo Sanghoon instead.

<Selection completed.>

After the system message, the character selection window turned gray, but nothing else happened.

Even when I tried to choose another character again, no error message comes up.

Is the function not activated because I can’t dream?

‘… Maybe I can use it in the future when its stage goes up?’

In the end, I gave up on trying out the function and had a dreamless sleep again.

Recently, Yoo Sanghoon has been training with the basketball team.

The basketball team adviser and professional coach usually guided the students passionately, but the intensity increased when the summer vacation came.

The coaching staff trained them very strictly, especially those who were selected as representatives of the sports exchange exhibition with the Military Academy to be held in the second semester.

— Once you miss the first championship of the exchange match, you’ll never be able to come back and play again!

The title of the first-year championship in the sports world holds a very heavy weight and meaning.

The title of the original championship would remain unchanged, but once it’s lost, it could never be won again.

It wasn’t known how long the sports exchange between Eungwang and the Military Academy would continue.

The activity is to be launched for the first time this year.

However, it’s clear that this year’s winning school would be holding the title for several years.

— Sanghoon, I have high expectations for you!

— But still, don’t overdo it. Considering your medical history…

— I’m going to be doing your medical check-ups thoroughly. If you experience anything odd, tell me right away.

Expectations were high for Yoo Sanghoon, the only freshman selected as a starting player.

Yoo Sanghoon was actually not that tall.

However, everyone from the team and the coaching staff agreed that Yoo Sanghoon should be selected as a starting player.

Yoo Sanghoon’s scoring ability and shooting percentage were stable everywhere on the court, and everybody recognized it.

Though, one weakness of Sanghoon’s was his ball rotation.

In response to the high expectations, Sanghoon passionately participated in training every day.

‘Resting well and sleeping well is also part of the training.’

With that mindset, Sanghoon washed up and fell asleep as soon as he arrived home.

He usually slept soundly until the morning when he has to go to training.

But today was different.

Late at night, Sanghoon stumbled out of the room.

“…Are you hurt somewhere?”

Yoo Sanghee looked surprised seeing Sanghoon.

It’s because Sanghoon had some blood on his face.

“Should I use my light skill? Or just a skill? …Or do you want to go to the hospital?”

At Sanghee’s suggestion, Sanghoon shook his head.

Instead, he took out a 1.5 liter of bottled water from the fridge and drank it in one go.

Sanghee made an impression out of the sight of Sanghoon drinking.

“Ah, please! I told you not to drink straight out of the bottle!”

“I’m going to drink all of this so it’s fine.”

Sanghoon sat at one end of the sofa far away from Sanghee with his half-emptied water bottle.

“Why aren’t you going back to sleep?”

“…I can’t sleep.”

Sanghee turned off all the holograms that she was looking at.

Sanghoon didn’t see what the holograms contained, but he guessed that it was just related to his sister’s career problems.

He didn’t bother questioning anymore as it was none of his business.

It was Yoo Sanghee who broke the silence that had been going on for a while.

“You can’t sleep either, huh? You didn’t sleep at all tonight?”

“No, I woke up because of a nightmare.”

“What sort of nightmare?”

“I dreamt of the day of the entrance exam.”

Hearing what Sanghoon said, Sanghee couldn’t help but frown.

“Did you dream of that Son Minki?”

“No. That jerk died in my dream.”

“Then it’s a good dream. Maybe you’d get some luck with some lottery tickets.”

While Sanghee searched for places to buy lottery tickets, Sanghoon drank the remaining contents of his water bottle.

Crumpling the water bottle as if it were a piece of paper, Sanghoon spoke again.

“It’s not a good dream… In that dream, Euishin wasn’t in it.”

“Euishin wasn’t in your dream?”

Sanghoon’s face still looked pale as snow.

“And it’s not just Son Minki who died. In my dream, I, Jang Namwook, and Professor Shinrok… all of us died in that gym.”

A few days after returning from the Hwangmyeong mansion.

Early in the morning, I heard the news that the members of the newspaper department and the Class Zero seniors returned home.

Their Eurasia trip ended in the UK, and those who finished their last schedule returned home at night on a direct flight.

[Moon Saeron] With our return to Korea, the battle between the newspaper department and the Second Year Jerks ended with our victory! Hahaha! It’s quite tiring, but it’s very meaningful that we won!

Throughout the trip, the series of strange confrontations between the Class Zero seniors and the newspaper department seems to have continued beyond Chengdu City.

According to Moon Saeron, the newspaper department won by a narrow margin, but… did the newspaper department really win?

They won the fight but I don’t think they won the battle.

Although they won the strange confrontations, I could see that the Class Zero seniors had more fun with Jegal, while the newspaper department members were all exhausted.

[Moon Saeron] Ah, right. I haven’t explained what happened in the UK yet.

Saeron explained the incident in the United Kingdom.

While the group was headed for Oxford along River Thames, they were caught up in another incident.

It’s said that a boy and a girl were kidnapped by chance.

They immediately started tracking them down.

After a brief adventure to break through the underground waterways and a hidden path under the River Thames…

They reached a secret auction house.

Players from the Player’s Association Britain and the members of the newspaper department agreed to infiltrate the secret auction house to save the kidnapped boy and girl.

[Moon Saeron] The British Association said that we’re getting ourselves in big trouble, but I didn’t expect it to be that bad! The General Headquarters said they’d come after us!

It turns out that it was actually the executives of the Player’s Association Britain who were behind the secret auction house.

Fooled by the Player’s Association Britain, the newspaper department found itself in a crisis.

They were threatened to be seriously injured and even annihilated.

[Moon Saeron] But then…! An unknown hero suddenly appeared!

[Moon Saeron] (Photo)

Moon Saeron posted a photo of someone wearing a mask and a flashy bullfight suit.

The sparkling chaquetilla, embroidered with gold and silver threads on the red silk, stood out very much.

It was a ‘Traje de luces’, traditional clothing that Spanish bullfighters wear in the bullring.

‘Don’t tell me this is…!’

My hands began to curl reflexively.

A person wearing a bullfight suit and infiltrating secret auction houses…

Moon Saeron continued to narrate what happened and it seems like my prediction was correct.

[Moon Saeron] The self-proclaimed ‘Phantom Thief’! The glamorous hero who called himself a thief quickly dismantled the secret auction and disappeared coolly!

[Moon seron] He said so many cool things, but I couldn’t take note of everything ‘cos it was quite noisy. I think he said something like “Take a look at this again, comrades!”

That masked character…

I think it’s my playable character.

In the next year inside the game, this playable character would shake the world for a while before making an exit.

The character, who volunteers to take on danger and wanders from place to place, frequently spits out cringe-worthy lines that were enough to make me squirm as I looked at my phone screen.

‘…But still, as expected of my playable character. He was active in a place where I couldn’t see!’

As I struggled to overcome the cringe to admire my playable character, Moon Saeron sent more messages in our chat room.

She said that they might be invited to England someday because one of the people they saved was actually a child belonging to the British royal family.

It is said that the child was injured while shopping among the general public and somehow became separated from the bodyguard.

‘The Player’s Association Britain messed with the royal family… They’re done for I guess.’

The Player’s Association Britain was in a state of disrepair and destruction during the Manchester Great Offensive.

They recently caused an unnecessary misunderstanding during the Jared Lee incident.

I hope this incident would finally result in some radical changes within that association.

“Oh, Euishin!”

When I returned to the freshmen dormitory building after the morning training session at Jiik Hall…

I heard Sung Siwan’s voice.

Next to him were Gye Idam, Park Seunghyun, and Mok Wooram.

“Hello.”

“Yea, hi. You know Wooram, right? I asked him and he seems to know you.”

“Hi, how are you!”

As soon as Wooram saw me, he greeted me enthusiastically.

Due to the recent case with Hani, Saeum had to return home for a while.

Meanwhile, Hyodon is still in training with Tak Geosan.

That means only I and Wooram are currently in the dorms.

On top of that, he seems to be showing a favorable attitude toward me.

‘It’s the best time to ask him about the Fate of the Unknown.’

The fatigue from the morning training seemed to have alleviated all at once.
