Everlasting Immortal Firmamentvolume 7 chapter 169: four paths of reincarnation

The Reincarnation Pool?

The Reincarnation Pool could open the entrance to the Hell Path Secret Realm. Since the Six Paths Immortal had sealed the eighteen layers of hell, Gu Hai could only hope that the Reincarnation Pool could unlock them.

Gu Hai believed the eighteen levels of hell could serve as a training ground for cultivating many experts in a short time. The Reincarnation Pool is nowhere to be found?

“It’s impossible! I personally placed it here!” Gu Hai exclaimed as he rose to his feet and swiftly searched the area.

Concerned that someone might inadvertently take it, Gu Hai had deliberately positioned the Reincarnation Pool on a stone platform. However, the pool had vanished, to his dismay.

Perplexed, he approached the stone platform and scrutinized it. Surprisingly, a layer of dust had settled upon it. “Huh?”

Dust? That’s unexpected. This place is supposed to be protected by a ritual array, ensuring its pristine state.

Gu Hai contemplated the situation. Then he waved.

Buzz!

Suddenly, the Death and Life Register appeared from out of nowhere.

A faint aura enveloped the Death and Life Register’s pages, which were now apparently divided into eighteen distinct layers.

“The Death and Life Register changed?” Gu Hai muttered, his brows furrowing in intrigue.

The Death and Life Register comprised three thousand pages, each corresponding to the three thousand Great Dao of the world; most of the pages only contained subtle patterns representing the branch rules of the three thousand Great Dao. Only one page was filled with intricate patterns—the page recording the Go Dao laws.

Gu Hai flipped through the pages with remarkable speed, going past the Go Dao laws’ page, until he encountered another filled page.

Although that page only had enigmatic patterns, he felt dazed when he fixed his gaze upon it. It was like he was seeing the eighteen layers of hell themselves.

“The eighteen layers of hell? The hell path of reincarnation? These...these are the hell Dao laws?! The hell Dao?!” Gu Hai exclaimed in astonishment.

A thought struck him.

“I understand now! The Reincarnation Pool? It is formed by the hell Dao laws, not rules, but perfect replicas of the Dao laws. I wonder which ancient senior accomplished this feat, comprehending the Hell Path Secret Realm? No wonder it can open the eighteen layers of hell! It is because the Reincarnation Pool itself is formed by these laws. The dust on the stone platform earlier must have been residue from the impurities after the Death and Life Register extracted the laws of the Reincarnation Pool. Haha! I was pondering how to record other laws and Dao into the Death and Life Register, but acquiring the hell Dao turned out to be surprisingly effortless!” Gu Hai exclaimed with excitement.

“Of the three thousand Great Dao, the six paths of reincarnation can form their own worlds. However, to fully manifest the hell Dao within the Gu’s Immortal Firmament, I would need more spirit stones than what the Go Dao required. Where am I to find such an astronomical amount of spirit stones? It’s in the trillions!” Gu Hai’s expression turned grim.

Gu Hai felt deeply frustrated. He had a method to enhance Gu’s Immortal Firmament but lacked the financial resources to do so.

Letting out a sigh, Gu Hai was about to close the Death and Life Register when he was suddenly taken aback. “Huh?” He quickly flipped through its pages once more.

To his surprise, he came across another page filled with enigmatic patterns.

“This is impossible! How can there be another page besides the Go Dao laws and the hell Dao laws?” Gu Hai’s brows knit in confusion.

As he examined the page, he seemed to catch a glimpse of countless battles, of hordes of asuras killing each other.

“The asura Dao laws?” Gu Hai exclaimed, his eyes widening.

Continuing to flip through the Death and Life Register, he found two more pages filled with intricate patterns.

“The human Dao’s principles? The animal Dao’s principles?” Gu Hai exclaimed in astonishment.

The human Dao, the animal Dao, and the asura Dao of the six paths of reincarnation?

“I understand now. In the past, Long Zhanguo forcibly seized these three paths of reincarnation from the Divine Continent, embedding them in the immortal firmament. Although they were later taken back by the Immortal, the laws of these three paths of reincarnation still exist in the firmament, and the Death and Life Register gradually recorded these laws!” Gu Hai’s eyes narrowed in obvious excitement.

The fact that the Death and Life Register now contained four of the six paths of reincarnation brought him a genuine sense of joy. Although he currently lacked the power to fully manifest them, their mere presence was enough to fuel his optimism.

“The Reincarnation Pool’s principle lies in its replication of the hell Dao laws. Although the Reincarnation Pool itself is gone, I possess the Death and Life Register, which holds the replicated laws of the hell Dao’s laws. Could it be…?” Gu Hai’s expression shifted with intrigue.

He stepped out of the Gu’s Immortal Firmament and activated the page within the Death and Life Register that contained the laws of the hell Dao.

Buzz!

Suddenly, a spatial hole appeared before him.

“The entrance to the eighteen layers of hell, Hell Path Secret Realm?!” Gu Hai’s face lit up with a mixture of surprise and delight.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

With another wave of his hand, three more entrances appeared before him.

“The Human Path Secret Realm’s entrance? The Asura Path Secret Realm’s entrance? The Animal Path Secret Realm’s entrance?”

Gu Hai dismissed the four gateways with a wave, making them vanish.

“The Death and Life Register truly is an extraordinary treasure!” Gu Hai’s eyes sparkled with shock and wonder.

Whoosh!

Returning to the Gu’s Immortal Firmament, Gu Hai carefully examined the Death and Life Register once more, his hand gently caressing its pages.

“The six paths of reincarnation…I wonder where the remaining two lie?” Gu Hai pondered aloud, a tinge of excitement clear in his voice.

With a swift gesture, the Death and Life Register vanished into the depths of space. Despite losing the Reincarnation Pool, Gu Hai discovered he had actually gained even more.

He extended his hand and retrieved the Candle Epoch Azure Lamp. After he activated it, wisps of eerie azure flames emerged from its mouth. The flames looked very strange, and he could not recognize them. They did not seem particularly powerful, but they looked mysterious.

“Never mind. I can’t figure out anything about it. Since I promised the Mosquito Daoist to give him one of the top sixteen ancient treasures so that he could exchange it for the Primal Essence Pearl, I’ll let him study it himself.” Gu Hai put the lamp away with a flip of his hand.

In outer space, Kong Xuan continued to devour the Jiang Gautama replicas amid raging demonic flames.

Gu Hai turned his head and gazed at a distant plain, where the transparent fragments of Jiang Gautama’s secret realm immortal firmament were. These fragments now lay on the ground, slowly dissolving as the Gu’s Immortal Firmament digested them.

“The Unrestrained Heavenly Demon created those secret realm immortal firmaments? How did he craft them? Why can they replenish the spatial energy of my Gu’s Immortal Firmament?” Gu Hai sank into deep thought.

While contemplating, he suddenly sensed something. He turned his head, and there stood Chen Xianer, clad in a white robe formed by one of her techniques. Her eyes brimmed with joy and excitement as she gazed at Gu Hai.

“Xianer?” Gu Hai called out, his voice tremulous.

“Husband!” Chen Xianer exclaimed, tears streaming down her face.

Gu Hai rushed to Chen Xianer without hesitation, and she leaped into his arms.

Thud!

Their bodies collided with a heavy impact, and they held each other tight, unwilling to let go.

Embracing Chen Xianer, Gu Hai breathed in the fragrance of her hair, fearing that it might all be an illusion. However, the warmth in his arms assured him it was all real.

“Xianer, I have missed you so much during these years!” Gu Hai’s eyes turned red.

“Husband, you have suffered!” Chen Xianer nestled in Gu Hai’s embrace, her voice filled with tenderness.

“It was not suffering. Everything was worth it!” Gu Hai said, smiling through his tears.

The two of them embraced, clinging to each other. They stayed that way for a long time, reluctant to let go. And when they finally did, their hands remained intertwined.

Sitting on the beach, the two of them leaned against each other.

Gu Hai recounted everything that had transpired over the years to Chen Xianer.

He did not hide anything, sharing the details while Chen Xianer listened quietly.

“So, besides me, you have Long Wanqing, Lin Waner, Bing Ji, Zang Yulian, and the Supreme Wa—five women? Also, there’s Long Wanyu, who is infatuated with you.” Chen Xianer smiled.

“Xianer, during these years, I—”

Gu Hai was about to explain when Chen Xianer gently placed her finger on his lips and smiled. “Husband, I hold no grudges against you. Just being able to be by your side again is already my greatest wish.”

Gu Hai frowned slightly.

“In fact, I am quite grateful to Xiaorou.” Chen Xianer looked into the distance at the vast sea and took a deep breath.

“The Supreme Wa, Xiaorou?”

“Yes, it was Xiaorou who opened up your heart and prevented you from living in darkness all these years with her sacrifice. It was she who brought happiness back into your life. Shouldn’t I be grateful to her?” Chen Xianer said softly.

“Long Wanqing risked her life to save you, posing as you to divert the Unborn Man’s attention and ultimately taking the blow for you. Lin Waner pretended to be dead to protect you, refusing to let the Supreme Ascendant Dao’s experts harm you. Bing Ji initially came to assassinate you but ended up standing against everyone for your sake, enduring the anger of countless individuals alone. Zang Yulian? She is carrying your flesh and blood! Husband, none of them is unworthy; you should not disappoint them. I am not a jealous person!” Chen Xianer leaned into Gu Hai’s embrace.

“I’ve done a lot of terrible things these years,” Gu Hai sighed softly.

“Husband, you have grown remarkably fast during these years, always teetering on the edge of life and death. If it weren’t for these five women, perhaps you would no longer be here. Husband, bring them back to us as soon as possible,” Chen Xianer said gently.

Tenderness flooded Gu Hai’s heart. He held Chen Xianer tightly.

As they gazed into each other’s eyes, an indescribable connection was forged, and they conveyed everything they wanted to express, without uttering a word.

Their eyes filled with overwhelming emotion, and in the intensity of the moment, Gu Hai leaned in and kissed Chen Xianer’s lips. After forty to fifty years of separation, their passion as a married couple reignited.

Carrying Chen Xianer’s warm and delicate body, Gu Hai stepped into a nearby palace hall.

Creak!

The door closed.

One day in the outside world was ten years in the Gu’s Immortal Firmament.

Gu Hai spent a year with Chen Xianer in the Gu’s Immortal Firmament, engaging in deep conversations, reminiscing about their past, and envisioning the future. Finally, they were prepared to return to the outside world.

However, one morning, something unexpected happened as Gu Hai lay in the large bed, gently caressing the bare and smooth back of the sleeping Chen Xianer.

Buzz!

Chen Xianer trembled and suddenly woke up, standing up in an instant. At that moment, she saw Gu Hai’s naked body.

“Gu Hai, you bastard! Aaaaah!”

A furious scream echoed throughout the Gu’s Immortal Firmament. It startled Kong Xuan, who was consuming the Jiang Gautama replicas in outer space. A replica became stuck in his throat, and his face turned purple.

Gu Hai looked at Chen Xianer in shock, uncertain about what had just happened.

Chen Xianer trembled again but quickly regained her composure.

“Xianer, what happened? Just now…,” Gu Hai asked, concerned.

“Husband, that was the White Emperor. I forgot to tell you that the White Emperor awakens every ten days. I… I…,” Chen Xianer said with a wry smile.

“The White Emperor?” Gu Hai’s face stiffened, his mind racing to comprehend the implications.

So, Chen Xianer transforms into the White Emperor every ten days? Then what about our earlier intimate moments and the previous encounters we had every ten days?
