"It must be because the Seven Beast Kings have suppressed the news so tightly," Helen spoke to herself but Aditya and others also heard it.
"Miss Helen, do you mind explaining what you mean by 'Suppressing'?" Aditya asked her with a polite smile. But Helen could see that everyone including the Emperor was really interested.
"Your Imperial Majesty.....!!!!!" Helen was about to answer. She was still feeling nervous despite the fact that the goddess of nature was sitting right next to her.
"Miss Helen, you can just call me Aditya. There is no need for such formalities." If Helen served Aditya then this entire matter might have been different. Also, he said this hoping that she would stop feeling nervous around him and answer his questions while staring at his eyes.
"No...no.....!!! I can't do that." Helen might not serve Aditya but as the Future husband of the goddess of nature, she can't call Aditya directly by his name. That would be too rude.
Sigh!!!!!
Seeing that Aditya could not change her mind, he just sighed and gave up on it.
"Alright please continue with what you were saying..." Aditya gestured for her to continue speaking.
"Your Majesty, you have heard of the seven Beast Kings of the Beast Continent?" Hearing this Aditya closed his eyes and tried to remember what he had heard about the Seven Beast Kings in his library.
Aditya did not read much on the Beast Kings as he did not have that much free time on his hands. It was a book about the political structure of the Beast Continent in which he briefly learned about the Beast Kings.
In one of that book's pages, it was mentioned that the Beast Kings were like 7 strongest Kings or Emperors that ruled the majority parts of the Beast continent. The names of the Seven Beast Kings are merely titles that are given to the Patriarch of the 7 strongest Beast-kin tribes in the Beast Continent.
This means the holder of the title is always changing every few centuries. However, since the ending of the continental war seven Beast-kin Clans's Patriarch have held the title of the Beast King.
The Continental War in the Beast Continent happened around 9 centuries ago. It was a war that was so massive that it literally wiped out 1/3 of the entire Beast Continent's population. A continental war that is so massive that it killed half a billion beast-kins. Many powerful Besat clans fell and rose in that war. And all this was caused by the appearance of the World Treasure.
The Continental War saw the end of an era. But it also marked the beginning of a new Era. The old order of the beast continent fell and a new order rose to claim the power power vacuum that was left behind. The current Seven Beast Kings and their clans were the ones that rose during and after the continental war in power and filled the power vacuum.
However, even after nine centuries of the continental war, the whole continent was still recovering. The shape, geographic features, culture, heritage, and history of the continent have forever changed.
"I know a little bit about the 7 Beast Kings." Aditya nodded his head. In his eyes, the 7 Beast Kings were nothing but weak figures. He didn't really care about the 7 Beast Kings. He wasn't being just arrogant. If it was in the past then this might have been a big deal to Aditya but now he and his Empire had grown strong enough to ignore such figures.
"You see the 7 Beast Kings already used a secret method to find out where the Dragon Grass is going to appear. But to prevent the news from reaching the ears of other factions, they put a very tight control over the flow of information. It was literally impossible for anyone outside of the continent to know where the Dragon grass was going to appear. I don't know why they did this but I guess they must've wanted to keep the competition low."
Aditya nodded his head as it made sense. After all, it was well known that each time a Dragon Grass appeared, the whole continent fell into a state of war. Millions of lives were lost each time the dragon Grass appeared. If they could keep the competition low by putting strict control over the flow of information then why not do it? Aditya felt that Helen's guess might be correct.
"But even though the Seven Beast Kings have put a very strict control on the flow of information I don't think they would be able to suppress this valuable piece of information for too long. As the day of the Dragon Grass appearing approaches, more and more people are going to become desperate, and desperate people make desperate attempts."
"For example, there could be someone from within the Seven Beast Kings who would leak the information in exchange for a big sum of money or something valuable. It doesn't necessarily have to be one of the 7 Beast Kings. It could be someone who is working under them and has learned of this information." Aditya felt that what Helen was saying was true again.
But he had a doubt. "How do you know about this information?" Aditya asked. His question made everyone look at her as well.
"Your Majesty, I learned this information because of a massive coincidence. As I have said before, there is already someone who has leaked this news to the black market. I learned this information from an injured Beastkin. When I treated him and saved his life, in exchange for that he gave me this information."
Aditya thought for some time before asking. "Can we see this injured beast-kin?"
"Unfortunately it's not possible. Just a week before, some other beastkin brutally killed him. I suspect that these Beast-kin were sent by one of the 7 Beast Kings. I guess they wanted to silence the person who knew about this information. They also would have killed me if I wasn't a Peak 4th-order cultivator."
Since then some began to suspect that Helen knows where the Dragon Grass will appear. She has been approached by many since then but she did not open her mouth regardless of how much pressure others put on her. Now that the goddess of nature was here she felt a little bit relieved.
At least in their presence, she won't need to worry about anyone else.
"So when does the Dragon Grass will appear?" Riya asked.
"My lady, 31 days from now on. When the sun is perfectly on the subsolar point, at that time, the Dragon Grass will appear. However, the Dragon Grass will only remain for less than 30 minutes before the Draogn Grass will wither and die. Once the Dragon Grass is dead, then it's useless. There won't be any value left of the Dragon Grass."
"Hence a special container is needed for Dragon Grass. Am I right?" Alicia ended Helen's words.
"Yes, My lady." Helen was surprised that this beautiful girl sitting next to Aditya knew this but she nodded her head as Alicia was correct.
"So what kind of special container do we need for the Dragon Grass?" Sasha asked.
"Don't worry, I already have secured the Container before coming here. Although I wasn't able to get my hands on the Dragon Grass, I was at least able to get one of the special Containers that could safely keep the Dragon Grass in it." Alicia said with a smirk.
"Good job." Before anyone could say anything, Aditya pinched her cheek and said with a smile.
Alicia felt really embarrassed when he suddenly pinched her cheek in front of everyone, especially in front of Helen. She just glared at Aditya and warned him to release her but he wasn't affected by her glare. In his eyes, her glare was like the glare of an angry little kitten. She looked very cute.
"Aditya, we are having a serious meeting. Please refrain yourself." Even though she said these words in a very serious and professional tone, her face was blushing.
Pfff...!!!!
Hearing Riya trying to suppress her laughter, Alicia suddenly felt even more embarrassed. It was all his fault for teasing her in front of everyone.
"I didn't know our Golden Glutton loved being pinched on the cheek by others." Riya pinched her left cheek while smiling. Hearing her words, Alicia's right eye twitched.
However, if anything, right now, the Goddess looked pissed. Alicia gently slapped Riya's hand away. Although she would never admit it she loved it when Aditya pinched her cheeks. But if someone else were to do the same then she felt displeased and annoyed.
After all, Aditya was really tender with her. But when others pinched her cheek, they were rogue with her which she did not like. Ever since she was a child, she hated it whenever someone pinched her cheeks.
'What is this scenario?' Helen was totally surprised. By now she could more or less guess that the other girls were Aditya's other fiances.
'I never expected that the relationship between the girls would be so close. They are just like real sisters. I have never seen anything like this.' Usually, in a harem, it would be all the girls fighting each other over who could become the Man's favorite. All this fighting would eventually lead to bullying, and attempt of murder in worse cases. But the relationship with all the girls was so harmonious that it left me dumbfounded.
She could see that everyone was really caring towards each other.
