His new status reflected the increase in his power. Checking his stats he couldn't help but smile.

His attributes had changed a lot in the span of a few days. The minor increase in his Magic Power was negligible, reflecting the growth of his Divine Spark, but it was actually one of the most impactful changes. It meant in essence that his magic was 16.6% more powerful than before regardless of any other parameters.
Thanks to his Dire Black Werewolf Bloodline his Magic Defense had caught up with his Magic Power, giving him a tiny bit of protection from enemy spells, but Ikaris wasn't the type to pass up a benefit no matter how meager. More defense was always a good thing.
After his previous growth spurt he was worried that he would exceed two meters when he finished assimilating this bloodline, but fortunately that didn't happen. The bulk of his recent growth spurt should have been triggered by Liam's venom.
Because he had anticipated the heavy food consumption that practicing magic required, he had never starved himself and this time had gained weight instead of losing it. Mostly muscle.
This welcome change was reflected in his attributes, especially his Strength and Constitution. Agility and Vitality were attributes that were harder to improve because they were fundamentally capped by his biology.
Agility reflected his reaction time, flexibility, and body control, and to push that limit involved training, but more importantly, improving and strengthening his nerve and brain performance.
Using Appraisal on other villagers, Ikaris had realized that his Agility was abnormally high and when he asked Magnus about it, he was told it was mainly due to his Soul Strength. Although he could not yet actively control his soul, such Soul Strength had an indirect impact on his cognition. In the medium to long run, his brain and nerves would eventually adapt but it was a slow process.
Vitality reflected the speed of his metabolism, his rate of digestion and recovery, but not necessarily his lifespan according to the wily old fox. In fact, ordinary humans with a higher than normal Vitality died younger.
Ikaris who was a scientist in his former life knew that the number of cell division cycles of each cell was limited. When this limit was reached, a cell would enter senescence and become unable to divide again.
Accelerating this process allowed for faster healing, digestion and metabolism, but at the cost of a shorter life expectancy. In contrast, the Constitution was more reliable, reflecting to some extent the toughness of his cells.
On Earth, the solution to old age was most likely to be found in medication, nanotechnology and gene therapy, but here in the Forsaken Lands everything was much simpler: Magic and Life Spark.
An elf could live for centuries thanks to his superior genetics, but an ordinary human with an overdeveloped Life Spark could live for thousands of years, provided he reached the required threshold. Alas, it was not a matter of value, but of level.
Right now, although his Life Spark had a value of 18.65, it was still level 1 and had no impact on his current lifespan. His status as a Nephilim, Crawling and Dire Werewolf on the other hand guaranteed that he would live at least 500 years even if he decided right now to never use his tiny Divine Spark again.
Of course, everything would become more complicated as soon as the Divine Spark entered the picture. An overly evolved Divine Spark was like sunlight to the skin. It was beneficial in small doses, but in excess it would damage your health.
Aside from his attributes, there were other changes wrought by his two new bloodlines. By barely focusing, Ikaris no longer had any trouble perceiving the dense amounts of black and gray particles saturating the atmosphere around him. Before, he had to wait for the night and the Black Fog to arrive to enjoy such a clear perception.
Without any apparent effort, he could see these energy particles passively entering him, passing through his pores and disappearing somewhere inside his cells. This elemental Mana reservoir, without being fully aware of it and unable to manipulate it, provided him with an additional fuel source that his Divine Spark could draw upon when casting certain spells.
If before he was unable to do much with it, that had now changed thanks to his Necromancy and Black Magic Sparks having finally reached level 2. When he turned them on he would gain a crystal clear idea of how to cast Death and Dark Spells and the most amazing thing was that these Sparks were hybrid sparks, containing not only a vast amount of knowledge but also many spells.
It was as if Ikaris had fused all his Sparks together to form an Ikaris Spark. This Necromancy and Black Magic Sparks were not mere Knowledge Sparks as he had originally thought, but a holistic arsenal of spells capable of significantly increasing his combat power.
The skeleton he had summoned with a snap of his finger a moment earlier was exactly the result of activating his Necromancy Spark.
Ikaris could not yet control these two types of Mana without passing through his Divine Spark, but it was only a matter of time. When he became able to do so, then he would no longer be completely defenseless even without his Sparks.
The last notable point was that in order to endure all the unwanted symptoms of his mutations, he had been practicing his I Am Me Spell assiduously and to his surprise his Soul Strength had increased by 0.1 points as a result. This finally gave him an idea of how to develop it.
At that moment, Ikaris decided to leave his room to get some fresh air. As he walked outside, the villagers who crossed his path stared at him dumbfounded, unable to comprehend how his appearance could have changed so much in just 3 days.
He had used his Stealth Spell whenever he went for a stroll to avoid unnecessary attention, and except for a few privileged people like his roommates Malia and Ellie, or Nardor who were able to chat with him, the rest were kept in the dark.
