"See, I told you she has a talent," Katherine pointed out as she watched Zhenzhen in admiration. "Your sister will be a famous healer in the future."
"Isn't she just using her Healing Ability?" Liu Ye asked objectively.
Liu Ye naturally believed in Zhenzhen but he didn't know where Katherine's confidence came from. Everyone could use any of the abilities instantly after unlocking. Did that mean all players were prodigies?
"What she did was different than simple healing," Katherine replied quietly. "Anyone can heal if they unlock the hidden ability but she actually surpassed her own skills and went beyond. That venom from the King Scorpion would normally only be healed by the Expert Healing. Despite being restricted by the game, she still succeeded using her Intermediate Healing."
"How?"
Katherine shrugged in response. "I don't know. It normally shouldn't be possible but she somehow did it. I sent her here knowing it's impossible for her to succeed unless she pushes her limits and advances. I didn't expect she would pull it off regardless and wouldn't even need to breakthrough."
"I see…" Liu Ye muttered while watching her sister at work. If he wished for her to be talented in anything, it would definitely be something like Healing.
Even though it still forced her to stay near the battles, she didn't need to fight personally. He could also keep her closer with him and watch over her which couldn't be more perfect.
"Alright, I'm done," Zhenzhen announced and finally pulled away from the table. "Try not to get in such a bad state again."
Zac moved around his body to check his movements and acknowledged, "Thank you… I don't know how I can return the favor. You saved my life."
"Oh, don't worry, I was just trying to help," Zhenzhen replied humbly and gazed at her brother. "If anything, you should thank my brother for calling me over."
Zac didn't hesitate and walked up to Liu Ye before giving him a bear hug. "Thank you brother, if there is anything you want, just tell me. I owe you one."
"Anything?" Liu Ye questioned as he pulled away from the hug. "To be fair, I helped you kill the King Scorpion and my sister saved your life. How about each of us will get a share from selling the King Scorpion's parts?"
He might be greedy but it was still a game and he did waste a lot of time on this quest. On another hand, he would probably never see them again anyway.
Thankfully, Zac wasn't offended at all and nodded, "Oh, you want the money? Sure, no problem. I will send each of you a share once we sell it."
Zhenzhen walked up to Liu Ye and looked up at him from under the hood. She looked like she was expecting praise but before Liu Ye could say anything, the old lady came back with a white summer dress in her hands.
"Miss, this is for you," the old lady presented the dress to Zhenzhen. "It should fit your size and provide much more protection than your current dress. It's made out of silk from the local Sandworm. You will not get the same quality in other lands."
"You can take it," Liu Ye assured as he noticed Zhenzhen's hesitation. One could know she was just a pure kind soul when she didn't even expect anything in return.
Liu Ye couldn't say the same about himself as all he thought about was the outfit's HP. When Zhenzhen wore the dress though, he couldn't help but widen his eyes.
[Little Bunny - Lvl. 10]
[HP: 1600/1600]
[MP: 1600/1600]
A whole 1000 HP was added into her Health Bar, evening up her HP and MP. Zhenzhen didn't even notice it as she simply admired her new look.
"Whoa, it's so pretty! Thank you, Ma'am!" Zhenzhen exclaimed in gratitude and turned to Liu Ye while doing a spin. "Big Bro, how do I look?"
"It fits you well," Liu Ye approved fully but his mind was elsewhere. He couldn't help but ask himself a moral question.
Would he wear something just for its stats?
He imagined himself in a summer dress but his thoughts got disturbed by the three healers approaching hurriedly.
"Miss, what you just did was amazing!" the oldest healer called out excitedly. "When the Association of Healers learns about your skills, they will definitely go nuts."
Liu Ye couldn't help but frown at them. Didn't they just laugh at them a second ago? Did they have some memory loss or completely discarded their shame?
"I may not be high ranked but I would like you to join our Association. Not only can you improve your knowledge from our teachers but you can also help a lot of people!" the oldest healer introduced. "To make it even better, the Association will pay you just for joining us and you will earn even more each time you heal someone."
"Oh, that sounds cool…" Zhenzhen nodded politely before taking a step back as she hugged Liu Ye's arm. "Unfortunately, I have to reject your offer. I would rather stay with my brother."
Although she was still smiling, her tone changed. It was no longer sweet as she switched to her official character. Liu Ye knew she was only acting sweet in front of him and cute animals while her persona at university was completely different.
"Why? Once your skills improve, you can help so many people. Our Association can help you with that," the oldest healer argued. "We are also the only place you can get the healer's license which allows you to legally earn as a healer. Otherwise, you won't be able to open your practice in the Mainland."
"Then I won't charge anyone, this way I don't need a license," Zhenzhen replied casually before pulling on Liu Ye and Katherine's arms. "We are leaving."
She was clearly upset by how the healers mocked and laughed at them earlier but she didn't call them out in front of everyone.
Too bad, Liu Ye wasn't as kind as she was.
"Are you sure you don't want to join an Association?" Katherine questioned after they left.
"No, I don't like them," Zhenzhen shook her head. "I want to stay with Big Bro."
She looked at Liu Ye fondly when he let go of her and returned back inside. "Give me one second. I will be back soon."
The three healers were inspecting Zac's body when he entered again and were surprised by his return.
Although Liu Ye didn't like them either, he understood that all things were placed in the game for a reason. He was sure that the Association of Healers would bring Zhenzhen great benefits and offer ways to improve. He wouldn't mind her joining but the conditions weren't as good as he would like it.
"Did she change her decision?" the oldest healer asked with a smile.
"No, but I have something to say," Liu Ye denied outright and demanded, "I want you to meet up with your president and tell him everything that happened here. I expect him to reach out to us with his own apologies and gifts. Otherwise, my sister will never consider joining your Association."
All three of them burst out laughing, changing their attitudes completely under the absence of Zhenzhen. "And why would he do that? Do you know who our President is? He is a Master Healer who serves directly under the Royalty. Even the King gives him respect and gives him anything he desires."
A clever light flashed in Liu Ye's eyes as he quickly adapted his blackmail.
"Oh really? I'm actually accompanying Mazamut for a meeting with the Royal Family tomorrow. I wonder how will the King react when I tell him that a healing prodigy was laughed and mocked at by your Association," Liu Ye pointed out casually. "Just so you know, she awakened her healing abilities just today and it took her only a few hours to be better than all of you combined. I'm sure the King loves young talent like this."
The three healers froze on the spot but Liu Ye didn't wait to hear their excuses. "My sister will be waiting for your President's apology. If I don't hear it by tomorrow, I will have a lovely chat with the King."
He left right after and joined the girls once again.
"Why did you go back in there?" Katherine questioned curiously only to see three healers rush out of the house and run towards the higher district without even looking at them. "What did you tell them?"
"Nothing much, I just told them the truth," Liu Ye replied mysteriously as he patted Zhenzhen on the shoulder. "They are going to inform their President about how great our Little Bunny is and he will come over with gifts. I expect them to meet us tomorrow so we are free to do what we want."
"I will go wherever you go," Zhenzhen announced happily. "I can be your personal healer."
"Sure, but first I have something to ask your teacher," Liu Ye muttered as he gazed at Katherine. "You said the Game AI is pissed at you and you can't play tomorrow. Does that mean it will be blocking you from the game?"
As soon as he asked the question, all the NPCs on the street glanced at him secretly before looking away. It was so subtle that only Katherine noticed the change.
"If I tell you, do you think I will be able to return in the future?"
