After The Abyss Dragon Woke Up

Meet Shi An, the last Abyss Dragon in existence. Tired of monotony, he opted for a deep slumber, hugging his treasures close. After an indulgent fifty-thousand-year nap, Shi An woke up to a rude surprise – he'd transformed into a feeble human with disproportionately short limbs. Bewildered, he surveyed his shrunken form and the now-empty cave, lamenting the loss of his powerful dragon physique and, more importantly, his cherished treasures. A single nap had undone millennia of hard work.

Fast forward to the year 2202, where human-monster conflicts escalate. Despite monsters' strength, the once-dominant fantastical species are nearly extinct. Enter Shi An, the youngest son of the Shi family and infamous at the Mage Academy for having no magical prowess. When magic powers are measured at the school year's start, Shi An innocently questions the quality of the destroyed detection equipment. In combat training, low-ranked monsters flee before he can approach, prompting Shi An to cheerfully exclaim his luck while leaving everyone else bewildered.

On the other side is Mu Heng, the mightiest mage among humans, bearing the noble dragon slayer bloodline. Cold and arrogant, Mu Heng dismisses dragons' fate as extinction. However, a dragon cub lounging on a pile of treasure catches his attention, making him consider other lucrative job opportunities. Mu Heng's priorities shift from extinction to earning more money, hoping to avoid eviction from his bed at night.
