"The teleportation array?" The guard asked, just to be sure.
"Didn't you hear him speak the first time? Move out of the way, we're in a hurry," The lady said walking forward with Void in her hands.
Grey shook his head, looking at the guards a little apologetically. He gave a pleading gesture before walking in behind the lady.
The guards wanted to try to stop the lady when she initially barged in, but the aura they sensed from her terrified them, scaring them away.
"Hey, little guy, which way?" The lady asked after they passed through the gate.
Void pointed towards the eastern part of the district.
The guards who were at the gates wanted to stop them since the teleportation array was situated at the center of the city, but after recalling the aura the lady released, they shut their mouths, opting to tell their superiors about the matter.
A few minutes later, the lady and Void could be seen standing in front of a luxurious mansion, Grey on the other hand was behind them, a dejected look on his face.
"Miss, since you're stealing, why are we using the front door?" He asked.
This was the place the treasure Void was sensing was coming from, but it was obviously owned by the owners of the mansion. Yet, the lady suggested they walk into the mansion, using the front gate.
Void supported the idea fully, the reason for this? He enjoyed the chaos.
"It's easier," The lady replied casually.
"Given your strength, you can easily sneak into the building, take what you want and leave without anyone finding out," Grey tried to convince the lady.
"Where's the fun in that?" The lady asked.
"You… *Sigh* Why do I always associate myself with troublemakers?" Grey muttered to himself, his facial expression was one which clearly showed tiredness.
"What?" The lady raised a brow.
"Nothing, you can do as you wish," Grey said, giving a resigned sigh.
"You can stay here if you don't like the idea," The lady said with a smirk.
Grey of course didn't dare to. He would definitely be captured by the people in the mansion if he wasn't close to the lady. He didn't like the idea didn't mean he was stupid enough to stay outside.
Since people have seen them together, there is no turning back for him.
Knock! Knock!
The lady knocked on the gate to the mansion.
A guard came outside, looking at the two people and a cat.
"What do you want?" He asked with an annoyed tone.
They weren't people he had seen before, and usually, if anyone wanted to visit the lord of the mansion, they would usually come on a carriage. Seeing two people and a cat standing outside meant they most likely weren't here for a visit.
"Something of ours is in this building, I'd like it if you step aside so we can take it and leave," The lady said directly, not hiding her intentions.
"You have something in this mansion?" The guard looked at the group, trying to see if they were people who might've come to the mansion previously.
However, no matter how hard he tried to recall the faces, he was certain that he had never seen them entering the mansion before.
"Yes, now, step aside, we're in a hurry," The lady ordered.
The guard was stuck in a dilemma, he didn't know if he should let them in or stop them at the gate. There are times when people from influential families come by foot, after all, it wasn't like they would feel tired from walking.
If this group were from an influential family and he didn't let them in, then he would be in trouble. But if he were to let them in and then later found out that they aren't from an influential family, he would be in even bigger trouble.
Just when he was about to come up with a decision, he saw some people walking over. They were wearing the uniforms of guards tasked with guarding the gate used in entering this district.
"There they are," One of the guards pointed at Grey and the lady.
It was none other than the one who stopped them from going in the first time. There were three people with him, all above the Overlord Plane.
"You two, come with me," One of the three men said in a commanding tone.
Unlike the previous district, the streets of this district aren't as busy. So there weren't too many people walking by.
"Hello, please this is all a misunderstanding, we only want to use the teleportation array," Grey tried explaining.
"Then why did she say something of yours is inside the mansion?" The guard from the mansion asked.
"Come with us, it wouldn't be good for you two if we use violence," The man with the biggest build amongst the three men said coldly.
Compared to the others, he wasn't so calm.
"Or what? I have something I need to take from this place, after taking it I'll leave, now you three get lost from my sight," The lady said, slightly getting annoyed.
Grey stared at the lady, then at the group who just arrived. He didn't know which one to calm down, he felt it was better to tell the group who just arrived to leave since the lady hadn't tried to attack yet.
Just as he opened his mouth.
"What?! Such insolence, even if I don't kill you, I'll make sure you're severely punished for such behaviors and also trespassing," The burly man said.
"Hmph! Insects," The lady snorted coldly, and a shocking scene occurred.
The perfectly healthy man started trembling, his hairs standing on edge, and smoke rising from it. Not just that, but the smell of charred skin started to circulate around the place.
The man soon fell on the ground, from the looks of it, everyone could tell he suffered from an electric shock.
Grey stared at the lady with a blank expression. If he wasn't aware, he would've thought she wasn't the cause of this.
'To think she could electrocute someone just from a look?' He thought in awe.
